This book doesn't know who it's being written to: those who would most benefit from her advice are probably already following it. Those who need her professional help are like to be put off by her glib "just do it" attitude towards those who struggle with their weight. She implies that unless you have an eating disorder there's no reason for you to be unhappy with your weight or to remain that way. I was really confused by "making peace with your thighs" I believe the author had good intentions, but it fell short. Very, VERY short. The goal was to feel good about yourself by the end of the book. To be free of body insecurity. However i ended the book confused and a bit sad.
It felt like she was so busy telling women it was okay to get plastic surgery if thats what they wanted, rather than telling us how to make peace with our thighs! There was never a point in this book whe...more
