Peculiar – the little socksnatcher family lives under the house and their ethical code dictates they only “share” single socks, and they are only useful if they’re dirty. Human family blames sock disappearances on the suspicious and beleaguered cat.

One of my girls' favorite childhood books. They are 20 & 21 and we still have 'socksnatchers' in the house. Our oldest is married but mentioned a socksnatcher the other day. Great book. Love the illustrations.

Recommends it for: parents reading with their children

This is a funny tale that explains how socks keep disappearing, one at a time, leaving their match behind. The story is fun, though a bit forced, and the illustrations are cute.
Mommy says: A rather disgusting tale about a family of sock snatchers and their host family!
