Fancy mixing painting, history, food and associated recipes??????

ABSOLUTELY DEEEEELICIOUS...visually, cognitively and tastefully!!!!!!

I read this book many years ago and whenever it passes my glance en route through my hallway, one wall of which is hidden by 6 shelves stacked, crammed with books, this is one of them which waves to me and I say:
"Oh, hello. No I haven't forgotten you.We will DEFINITELY get back together one day. I promise."

I enjoyed this book. I doubt I will ever fix any of the accompanying recipes adapted from the time of the art but who knows? I really was more interested in the art. There are numerous pieces in many styles ranging from 530 BC to mid 20th century all unified by food and the history of it.
All of the art was interesting, a lot of it I loved.
This is a book where I pick it up and read a section or two, examine the related paintings. No rush to finish, fun to revisit.
