Visit an upside-down, inside-out world where clams sing, mermaids wear pants, and a rattlesnake makes a tasty breakfast. Kids are sure to clap their feet and howl, "no more!" as they read these ridiculous nonsense poems and glare with glee at the phenominally wacky collage art.

This collection of poems by Lenny Hort was actually very enjoyable to read! The poems themselves are quite silly and mixed up, which makes for an entertaining and enjoyable reading experience. Tie Your Socks and Clap Your Feet is a collection of mixed up poems. It has variety of different subjects such as new homes, babied, hats, purple orange, oceans, pets, time, etc. The illustrations in the book are unique. They include a combination of animated and real life depictions. I am impartial this book. I did not love it but I did not dislike it. It would be a fun book to have in a classroom library but would not necessarily be great for instruction.
