Meet Freddy Thresher, a boy who has a nose for trouble and a last name that's made him an expert on sharks. You can learn more about sharks, too, in Freddy's Shark Journal at the back of the book. And see if you can find the word "

Ehh.. Freddy's sister is MEAN. It's difficult to read a book to your child when there's at least one character in it that is just MEAN and RUDE. I mean it's his SISTER! Be nice!

There is a bully in the book also, who actually comes around at the end...

I don't know...just didn't like the rudeness and teasing of the sister but the bully seemed forgivable enough. I mean come on sister, WHO CARES if your brother wears the same themed costumed every year-a shark. Quite frankly I thought that was AWES

Adrian and I just finished reading this last night, and we really enjoyed it. Halloween Fraidy-Cat has a great moral ending, and teaches children how to deal with a classroom bully in the midst of it's Halloween plotline. Adrian also loved the information facts and games at the end of the book, those hooked her.

Freddy is invited to a Halloween party, but he is afraid to go. Of course everything turns out all right in the end!

The story was the perfect level as a read-aloud for my five-year-old, although some of the pictures were too scary for that age, so I didn't show them to him.

Cute book. I read this to my boys and they were glued to every page. Great read for young kiddos who are afraid of scary Halloween masks. Also a great lesson about bravery. I will definitely be reading more in this series!

THis is a very good humorous Halloween story. I gave it a 4 star because I don't think it is one of the best of those chapter books but an ok book.

A so-so story about a boy that is afraid of anything related to Halloween. He learns to be brave and conquer his fears. The story had very cardboard like characters.

Listened to the audiobook. Was supposed to be listening with my son, but my son fell asleep on it. I was all into the story, though. Very cute!

We got this book on audio in a Wendy's Kids Meal. All 3 of my kids LOVE listening to it in the car. It's a cute story, and the guy who reads it does a great job!
