Ehh.. Freddy's sister is MEAN. It's difficult to read a book to your child when there's at least one character in it that is just MEAN and RUDE. I mean it's his SISTER! Be nice!
There is a bully in the book also, who actually comes around at the end...
I don't know...just didn't like the rudeness and teasing of the sister but the bully seemed forgivable enough. I mean come on sister, WHO CARES if your brother wears the same themed costumed every year-a shark. Quite frankly I thought that was AWES...more

Freddy is invited to a Halloween party, but he is afraid to go. Of course everything turns out all right in the end!
The story was the perfect level as a read-aloud for my five-year-old, although some of the pictures were too scary for that age, so I didn't show them to him.
