A Tasty Read Book Reviews
The Fabulous Beth Ciotta does it again, and this time, we get a taste of Sexy cousin, Sam McCloud, widower, veteran, and baker? huh? That's right...he bakes ladies and he is a father of two funny children (they cracked me up).

We met Sam and Harper, his heroine and fling, in ANYTHING BUT LOVE, and I was already invested in what was going on between these two. I loved seeing Sam and Harper letting down their guards and even though the situation was CRAZY (you will see), you just knew they were mea

In The Mood For Love is the fourth Cupcake Lovers book. I absolutely love this series.

The thing I like the most about this one: our hero bakes! Yes! Nothing better than a man in the kitchen!

Oh and his kids are absolutely precious!

And then there's Harper. Shes a publicist that's doing work for Cupcake Lovers. She's also having a secret fling with Sam.

I liked that both Sam and Harper have their own issues and they are very real characters that you love for their faults and flaws. I also love the

The fourth and last Cupcake Lovers book was much like the rest of the series: sweet and satisfying.

In the Mood for Love is Sam and Harper's story. They had a hot and heavy affair in Book 3 while Sam licked his wounds after losing out on the girl he initially wanted. I'll be honest: I didn't love Sam in Book 3. He was bitter and unfair toward his cousin, Luke, who got the girl, and I found it rather unbecoming. But in this story, Sam is a swoon-worthy hero who's impossible to dislike. He's ex-mil
This should really be 4.5 stars. Beth Ciotta's Cupcake Lovers is one of my favorite series. The fourth book, In the Mood for Love was a wonderful read! I loved being back in Sugar Creek and catching up with all my beloved characters, particularly Daisy (an eccentric grandmother) and the rest of the Monroe clan. Harper and Sam had great chemistry in the third book and their love story in this one was even hotter! Though Ciotta's language was rougher and cheesier than I recall in previous romantic ...more

From the first book I read of this series I feel for Sam. There was just something about him that drew a person to him. You felt sorry for him when he fell for the wrong woman (see loved someone else) but then he met a woman that knocked him off his axle, Harper. She is the perfect woman for him. Different then his first wife, but still caring and loving just like him and his kids need. A must read for the summer!
This story revolves around two people mainly. A Sam McCloud and a Harper Day. Sam is a carpenter, but really more like an artist that uses wood. He is widowed and his two children a 5 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. He is also was deployed several times with his Marine unit, he grew up in this fictional town and all of his cousins and friends are trying to set him up with any single female. Harper is a PR person and is doing work in town for a local cupcake cook club who has published a ...more

In the Mood for Love by Beth Ciotta is the 4th book in her Cupcake Lovers series. Since I have not read the first three books, I can safely say that this book can be read as a standalone. But I will add that after reading this wonderful romance, I will be going back to read the other books in this series.

This series takes place in a small town, Sugar Creek, Vermont. Of late, I have really been enjoying these romances that take place in small towns. We meet our hero, Sam McCloud early on, fratern

I have really liked the Cupcake Lovers series and this newest book fits right in. Sam. the only man n the club and the person who has seemed to be the loneliest in the group, finally gets his girl. The fact that the girl is Harper, the somewhat crazed PR person from LA just makes the romance all the more interesting. Harper is running from two different scary things and in Sam she feels grounded and safe. When circumstances push a marriage between the two, it gets even more interesting.

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I admit it; I’m a foodie and to me there’s nothing better than mixing two of my favorite things; food and romance, so when I was given the opportunity to read and review Beth Ciotta’s newest entry in her Cupcake Lover’s series, In the Mood for Love, I jumped at the chance. Featuring a couple that put the emphasis in “opposites attract”, Ms. Ciotta takes

The Cupcake Lovers are back, and this time sweet Sam isn’t leaving until he gets his happy ending.

Okay, I’ve been waiting for this book for a year (read: eternity). It’s the final installment of Beth Ciotta’s Cupcake Lovers, and lots of people are ready for their happy ending (not just Sam and Harper). The book begins with an update on Luke and Rae. Of course they reconciled and are now expecting a baby. After that’s out of the way, we find out Sam has returned to the dating scene and Harper ha

I finished In the Mood for Love by Beth Ciotta. This is my first Cupcake Lovers book. I must say that it was pretty cute and at times my eyes decided to leak. Anyway, let me proceed on. It might have helped if I had read the previous books, but I think I did all right following the storyline. Yes, there are a lot of characters and they are tied to previous books. However, the story focuses on Sam McLeod and Harper Day.

Now Sam hasn't had much luck in the love department

Widower Sam McCloud has lately been feeling alone even in the house he shares with his two kids. He has had great love and felt the loss of losing it but dang he needs some help with his own needs and to help be a mother to his children. Harper Day is the best Public Relations agent in the business or was until a past trauma decided to burn his life down to the ashes and force her into hiding.

What Sam proposes to Harper does not seem like a normal idea to the rest of the world but these two are
Sam is not having any luck finding a woman to take a place in his and his two children's hearts. he has plenty of offers but none of them seem right. Only one woman comes to his mind and that is Harper. They had a brief fling and she may be different from what he thinks is ideal woman is but she is who he keeps thinking about. Harper is hiding out on the farm she bought. She has had a few things make her leery of leaving her house. She has a stalker and is afraid to let anyone know. When she get ...more
In The Mood For Love (Cupcake Lovers #4) by Beth Ciotta takes us back to small town Sugar Creek, Vermont. Sam is a widower with two children who is finally feeling reading to move on after his wife's death. He's had a few dates, but none of them have felt right. None of them can measure up to Harper, the woman he's had a very secret sexual affair with. The same woman he's intensely attracted to and wants to know better. Harper is a celebrity publicist who became involved with the Cupcake Lovers ...more
I came into this series with the last book and found the story heartwarming and enjoyable as it managed to bring the feel of a lovely and caring small town to the people who needed it most. Plus, I love Vermont, and have relatives who live in a little town not unlike Sugar Creek - where generations of families live and gather, and everyone knows who you are and what you’ve been through.

In this story we pick up with Harper who has become a new member of Cupcake Lovers, mostly contributing her PR
Sam is it. You know, the one. The man. The ultimate. He’s a dad, a soldier, a lover, a baker. Yes, he bakes! I had a total swoon moment when I read he knows his way around a kitchen! But his baking skills are nothing compared to skills at handling Harper and her issues. He doesn’t laugh. He doesn’t retreat. He steps in, offers a solution, helps her see the light at the end of the tunnel. What a man.

Harper is so used to doing for herself that she almost doesn’t let Sam in. Almost. Thank God she d
Completely adorable group of characters...I'm ready to pack my bags right now for Vermont to hang out with Daisy and the rest of this fabulous town. I wish I had read the earlier stories in this series...but I was still able to follow this rather large cast fairly easily. Sam and Harper were intriguing from the beginning and their story only got better. Harper turned out to have so much more depth than I expected, as well as a soft and quirky side. Sam was everything he was promised to be...lovi ...more
Sam McCloud is a widower, carpenter, father of two young kids and a fabulous baker of cupcakes, thus a member of the Sugar Creek Cupcake Lovers. He's looking for a new mate for himself who will love his kids.

Harper Day is a "big-city"publicist who has purchased an old home in Sugar Creek with a "tragic yet romantic" history as a retreat. The home needed a lot of renovating and Sam was hired to do the work. The fireworks ensue and Sam and Harper have a very hot, very private affair.

Review: Five stars for Beth Ciotta’s In the Mood for Love, the new addictive, joyful, sensual, and calorie-free Cupcake Lovers novel

There are certain authors that I treasure like gold. When their books are released, I do a happy dance, because I know that their words will sparkle with a lightness and sincerity, even when they deal with difficult topics. One author who embodies this is Beth Ciotta. The inhabitants of Sugar Creek, Vermont, where her Cupcake Lovers novels are based, have become som

I admit, i'm head over heels crazy for the Cupcake Lovers Series. it's sweet, funny, charming and the characters totally pull on my heartstrings! I've enjoyed following along in their lives. Now, in In The Mood For Love, we get Sam's story. I've been curious about him for awhile. He's suffered his own heartbreak and his story really brings his character to life, and steals my heart.

Harper also seems to have her own pain, and the two share a common attraction, not that they really want to. But
Harper Day is a publicist used to the fast paced life in La La Land, so when she takes a job doing publicity for the Cupcake Lovers in small town Vermont, she expects to be in and out fast, before she has time to get bored. Imagine her surprise when she falls in love with the old fashioned town, she even buys a lovely old Victorian for a vacation home. She finds herself attracted to handsome Sam McCloud a widower with two young children. The two would appear to have nothing in common, but it’s o ...more
In the last book we saw a glimpse of this couple, and I really liked them. At first glance Sam and Harper couldn't be more different, you wouldn't think that they would work together as a couple, but they did. I love how each one of them brings out the best in the other. I liked that both seemed to pounce of the pretense of getting married as a deal, when that was what they really wanted. I loved how as the time got closer each of them wanted it to be real, but didn't want to say something to no ...more

If you are a fan of contemporary romance, you have to give Beth Ciotta's Cupcake Lovers novels a try. They are a great blend of family, friends, humor and romance all rolled up into one in this wonderful series. This is book #4 and called In The Mood For Love.
I have waited for Sam's story. The only male member of the Cupcake Lovers club, he is an ex-soldier, a widower, and a great dad and cupcake baker. He is also lonely, and watched as a woman he had a romantic interest in, fell in lov

I got a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

I enjoyed Beth Ciotta's previous writing with her steampunk series and was a little surprised when I realized that I have yet to read her contemporary romance. So when In the Mood for Love popped up on my to read list, I did not hesitate to tackle it and came out pleasantly surprised.

Beth tells a wonderful story about two very broken people. One is Harper Day, who is a celebrity publicist and a major workaholic. The oth

In the Mood for Love is a delicious ending to the Cupcake Lovers series! This novel will absorb you from the very first pages!

The previous books offered glimpses into Sam and Harper, but this book really blew me away with how amazing these two characters are!

Harper is a beautiful, confident, multi-tasking celebrity crisis fixer who seems too big for the little town of Sugar Creek Vermont. She's chatty, always on her phone, and has a talent for pushing Sam's buttons. After returning to her main

I am not sure that there could be two people more different than Sam & Harper, yet they work. So the saying that opposites attract hold true in this story. Sam the hometown hero and now single father after the passing of his wife. Harper is a big city girl that lives an extremely busy life. Yet the chemistry between these two is like gas and fire. So when Harper’s world comes crashing down on her the first person sh
When I saw the cover and read the synopsis for In the Mood for Love by Beth Ciotta, I could not help but say yes to this tour. I love small-town romance and cupcakes! While this is the fourth in the Cupcake Lovers series, I was able to slip into this small-town story, and they quickly made me feel at home. Of course, after reading this I immediately picked up book one! In the Mood for Love offers a sweet romance, suspense, humor and a whole lotta heart.

I'm a sucker for small town romances written with humor and wit, and Beth Ciotta ia a perfect example of that talent. Her extremely lovely world is one I am happy to visit again and again, and her characters are people I would like to have as real life friends and relations. This is the 4th installment in the Cupcajke Lovers series, but it stands alone. It did, however, enchant me enough that I went back and found the previous books - happy to say that! The series is filed with passion, compassi ...more
