This is a fascinating look into the mindset of a person who has learned to live on, by his own admission, a poverty-level salary. Lovett has done so by choosing a lifestyle most Americans would consider radically simple. I admire his commitment.

The writing is lively and conversational, but bears the hallmarks of a blog, as when he refers to one of his chapters as "this post." I have no objection to turning one's blog into a book. It's a great idea. But…edit. Please. Lovett's grammar and spelling

Quite possibly the worst book I've ever read. The author's voice was arrogant, annoying, and immature. He may be a great person in real life but the book was awful!

I didn't like his tone. However I appreciated how he was willing to say that it doesn't take money to be happy. That comes from being comfortable with ourselves and doing what we want.
