Read it before you enter or attend a film festival (as a film maker). However most of the book is made up of less useful and out of date information about specific festivals.
This book is great if you know nothing about film festivals and need to find out. It's got everything.
A good read with advice from the major players in independent film festivals to not rush, to make the best film possible, paying close attention to details - acting, sound quality, and most of all story.
