Masterful Telling of Events in the Mohawk Valley in the Revolutionary War

This well-written story of the exploits of a band of teenage boys who came to the aid of the Patriots of the Mohawk Valley in the 1770s during the height of the American Revolution is a glimpse through the lens of the average man in this tumultuous time. Riveting and real, the reader feels the fear, humanity, triumph and trepidation of the men and boys who fought and died so a new country could be born. Highly recommended.

Outstanding novel of the Revolutionary War in the Mohawk Valley of New York State. Describes the battle of Oriskany and the siege of Fort Schuyler as if you were there. Originally published in 1905.
