Bought in August 2009, this book took me a long time to read. Basicially the stories are some kind of modern fairytales with a lesson at the end (and therefore suitable for children). But if you know the story of the author and maybe have visited his home in Carwitz you may recognise much more. You'll find lots of autobiographic hints and stories and sometimes more (the social criticism of Fallada didn't even stop here).
