Tonight's sinful dessert special...Valentine's Fantasy

The tasty dish from Benedict restaurant is everything Jessica Lafayette could want... or crave. And it's not the dessert in front of her--it's her waiter. A guy with dark, intense eyes that suggest he wants to slowly lick whipped cream off her skin. A smile so wicked it makes her insides lava-cake gooey. And a too-hot-t

This story is 90 pages of hot fun! Its a super quick read for Valentine's Day. (Yup, I'm a little late on this one)

Nancy Warren is one of my favorite writers for the Blaze line, so I was excited to see what one of this short novellas would be like and I wasn't disappointed.

Nancy treated us to a hot holiday read that was full of great sex and a touch of romance, topped off with a pleasant HEA that doesn't lead Jessica and Sam straight down the aisle. (Which fits the Cosmo theme better than love a
Her Valentine Fantasy by Nancy Warren
Sam Benedict is the owner of a restaurant that is taking Seattle by storm. He didn't mind playing the waiter when needed, like the night he met her. The woman at table 12 became more than a patron, more than a seat number. And he wanted her.

Jessica Lafayette set out to have good hot sex before Valentines Day. Her date was not going to be it. Especially after his disappearing act before the dessert even arrives. In her distress she leaves her room key instead

This review pertains to Her Valentine Fantasy, by Nancy Warren. Thank you to Cosmo Red Hot Reads from Harlequin and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. I loved this book. It was a quick fun and steamy read. I really am loving the Red Hot Reads! I have read works by Ms. Warren in the past, and she does not disappoint to deliver a fantastic story with characters who are easy to love and relate to. I think her work shines in the newer Red Hot Reads format and I look forward to more. A ...more
Have you ever loved something that made you so mad! That is Her Valentine Fantasy. Jess and Sam are awesome characters that deserve each other. Their romance over one physical day together and then a series of emails is stuff of every single woman's dreams. Warren builds the tension of will they come back together all the way until the last paragraph. And then I got to the last paragraph, which is the perfect ending, but it pissed me off! I'm grinning-mad! I'm happily-angry! I'm huffingly-satisf ...more

2.5/3 Stars

I gave Her Valentine Fantasy 3 stars for writing, structure and a great plot. However, it gets 2.5 stars for the fact that there was a lie told and Nancy Warren spent a good chunk of the pages talking about it but it was never resolved or mentioned! This seriously bothered me, Her Valentine Fantasy should have ended with the truth coming out between Jessica and Sam and then they could have their steamy Valentine’s Day night together.

This is the first book by Nancy warren I have read.. and it will not be the last...This book is a fantastic afternoon read... The chemistry between Sam and Jessica was so intense.. thought my kindle would catch fire....I thought the ending was too sudden and hurried... I would love to read this couples life after the end of the novella in a full length book..If you like Erotic romance you have to read this book..I highly recommend it..

A sexy combination of sweep-you-off-your-feet romance, witty dialogue, and steamy chemistry.
Jessica makes a resolution to end her dry spell before Valentine's Day. She resorts to online dating in an attempt to make her personal deadline and ends up with the worse date ever.
Sam and Jessica meet when she meets her terrible date in his restaurant.

So I'm a little behind on the times when it comes to Valentine's Day but aw well. I'm trying to work my way through my NetGalley backlog all while keeping on top of my March list and library list. Daunting, I know...
Anyway, I read this one which came out on January 1 but then I switched to my March list so this is the only one from the backlog. I have a love/hate relationship with the Cosmo Red Hot Reads. I find them too short and too

I’ve really been enjoying these offering from Cosmo Red-Hot Reads by Harlequin but the one thing I have to remind myself before I read one is that it’s most likely going to end in a happy for now and that the story will have unanswered questions. It’s hard for me to do because I want every question answered, no stone left unturned but I’ve found I really love the authors featured in these offeri

Jessica is on a first date at one of the city's ritziest restaraunts with a total douche, who leaves her holding the bill at the end. Flustered and shocked, she accidentally leaves her hotel room keycard in the bill folder instead of her credit card, and then leaves. Sam, the owner of the restaraunt, was filling in for a waiter that evening and had flirted a bit with Jessica. Now, don't go thinking that Sam is a jerk for flirting wi
This hooked me from the beginning and didn't let go. Very well done without any of the usual foolishness. I wasn't expecting the story I got, it's a somewhat unusual structure, but fabulous. After a bad first date where she's stuck with the check, Jessica ends up going back to her hotel with the waiter, Sam. The only thing is he's not the waiter, he's the owner, just filling in. And she's not actually from out of town, just an event planner staying near her last convention. But the fantasy of an ...more

Jessica Lafayette and Sam Benedict originally meet each other on a date. Well, sorta. Jessica is on a date with a banker she met online, while Sam is serving as their waiter. Sam has been in the business long enough to be able to read people and his instincts tell him that the couple is on a bad date. Honestly, bad date is an understatement. The banker ends up leaving the restaurant and Jessica is left with the bill. While in a fog over what happen
This little novella totally blew me away! I've come to expect that these little Cosmo Red-Hot Reads are quick and fun, and this one definitely was, but it was also so much more.

After I requested this one on Netgalley I actually got cold feet. I was worried that the fact that the main lady character, Jessica, was hesitant about dating a waiter would bother me. I mean, it's a job, it's respectable, let's not be a snob about it. But that never came up when I was reading and Sam, the main guy chara

Chocolate and a hot guy...what more could you want in the lead up to Valentine's Day. Jessica was not having a great deal of success fulfilling her New Years resolution of hot sex by Valentine's Day. Her date, one week out, was a total bore and rude to boot, running of and leaving her the bill. So much for internet dating.

The best thing about the night was the waiter, and when a flustered Jessica leaves her hotel room card instead of her credit card, we have the perfect setup. Nice that the wait
I would give a higher score if I had an end! even though it must not be necessary to have an end because it could only get better but still I need some words.
Anyway, this book felt like daring. Daring to accomplish, daring to hope and grab on.
Scared to screw up but still hoping and living on.
But there laid some major fact : he knew about his feeling and how would he feel about same city; she knew who he was and how accomplished would she really not change him even he was someone else. really?

This was another super hot read by cosmo and harlequin. I have to say I loved the premise of this story. A waiter who happens to be a great reader of people. I loved the way that Sam saw that Jessica wasn't happy on her date, and he was willing to try to make things better for her, I thought it was so sweet. I really enjoyed how carefree they both were with their one night stand. And how the relationship developed over email nonetheles

Jessica is on a first date, enjoying her dinner but her date is turning out to be a real dud. The smokin' hot waiter. though. gains her full attention once her date ditches her and stiffs her for the dinner tab. Then she accidentally lets her room key card as payment, instead of her credit card. When Sam tracks Jessica to her hotel room, bringing her a Valentine Fantasy dessert, misunderstandings are left in limbo as their attraction heats up.

I loved this sizzling, sexy afternoon quickie! The c

One night Sam Benedict, owner of the famous restaurant Benedict, is working as a waiter, because one of his employees had to miss work, one of the couples having dinner at the restaurant catches his attention. More specifically the woman, to whom he feels immediately attracted and cannot understand what she is doing with that jackass… And a jackass is what he proves to be when he fakes an emergency to leave before dessert and
I am finding that I like having these Cosmo Hot Reads on hand for times when I want a quick read that will contain a great balance of story, character and sex. Nancy Warren delivers with Her valentine Fantasy. The premise of the story was what grabbed my attention, but the fully formed characters was what kept me reading. Well that and the really well crafted story that was actually enhanced by the sex scenes! Well Done!

This book was a decent read although it left me wanting more of a resolution in the end. I liked the idea of how Sam and Jessica got together, although I didn’t understand why anyone would leave their credit card at a restaurant…even when flustered. I liked Sam and Jessica as characters and thought their chemistry was pretty great. That initial encounter with them at Jessica’s hotel room was ridiculously hot.

The time they spent together was really sweet and I enjoyed them getting to know each ot
I thought this was a fun story but it ended a little abruptly. I wanted to know if she told him everything, but I guess I'm to assume that she does. Oh well, I like that it's this story of two people who are limited buy the lives that they have made for themselves and want to change things. Each does something that's outside of their current personalities which leads to togetherness. I would have liked the story to be longer, but overall I liked it.
Laura Hannaway
I would have probably given this 3 or 4 stars as the writing and story were very good. However the h tells a pretty major lie of omission that still hasn't been resolved (or even confessed) by the end so I didn't feel there was any HEA in sight... Shame.

3.5 stars

The writing is good and the story/plotline is great but it doesn't feel finished. The ending arrives so abruptly, it feels like it should be a cliffhanger with a sequel to follow but I don't think that's the case.
What a nice little read! Pretty much everything you hope for in this genre of book. All the characters are likable. Low drama. Steamy bits. The premise -- a woman leaves a hotel room keycard in her restaurant bill instead of a credit card -- is a bit far fetched as they way Ms. Warren executes this highly unrealistic (as if one abandons a credit card as if it were cash). And, the required secret/misunderstanding conflict never gets resolved. But, despite these two highly problematic things (not ...more
hahahaha mumpung lagi gak puasa, jadi nekat baca novel yang kovernya begini. isinya sih.... tipikal novel harlequinn/chicklit. nggak full erotica macam FSoG sih, tapi yaaaa lumayan lah ceritanya.
It was nice…until it ended rather abruptly. Unresolved. Bummer.

(I understand mistakenly handing your key card instead of your credit card, but actually leaving the card? Uh, sheesh.)
A quick hot read from one of my favorite Harlequin authors! I loved the chemistry between Sam and Jessica and how we were able to infer the HEA for these 2 without all the mellow drama of hashing out the 'who omitted telling who the whole truth'... I will always read a title by Nancy Warren and I am beginning to feel the same way about the Cosmo Red-Hot Reads - every one I have picked up has been great!
Ashley Deniz
Much better than the other Cosmo red hot read I read. I liked the characters, and I liked how they pushed eachother. I was not a fan of the lying that was involved nor the fact we never got to see how that was resolved but it was a fun, quick and easy read. Very steamy which I did enjoy but too many plot holes for my liking. Probably will not cause me to go out and look for more by this author, but I will occasionally still look for the red hot reads.
