Two-haiku review:

They can't get along
He hired her, now regrets it
Then she quits--uh-oh!

Been waiting for this
Set up last few stories
Wish it were longer

Oh, the joy of holiday reads! To be honest the pace at which the couples in Macomber's books get hitched and start popping out babies is a bit too much to wrap my head around but it was fun and effortless to read.

This alternativly annoyed and amused me at points.

My love for Alaska goes on...

An excellent read, exciting, suspenseful and above all very loving. The kind of book that makes you want it to go on and on. I would highly recommend it to all my friends. I truly admire Debbie Macomber and her writing. I started reading her books late in my life and have read as many as I possibly could and I still look for more. Now at the age of seventy five I look forward to each and every new book and movie.

My local library has the old Midnight Sons series by Debbie Macomber and I read the last three last night:

I liked this one the best because the hero was so clueless and the heroine tried to get over her crush on him, but never quite succeeded. It was worth the re-read.

I enjoyed this book. I haven't read the others in this series, but this book was still enjoyable without these.

A stand-a-lone story.

Since Christian helped bring women to Hard Luck Alaska he thought he could pick out his perfect secretary for Midnight Sons. He picked gorgeous Allison who stayed in Hard Luck for only a day. He then hired Mariah and since that time he has tried everything who could to have her quit, leave, or to fire her. To no avail. Mariah who is in love with Christian has not idea what to do with Christian. I have read that hate and love are similair to each other and maybe reading about Christian shows how ...more

Maybe because it seemed to be more of the same that it lacked a luster.
