No woman says no to a Lassiter

Months after their passionate tryst, Dylan Lassiter can't get Jenna Montgomery out of his mind. Maybe being named CEO of his adoptive father's restaurant empire is making the onetime playboy think about settling down. Or maybe it's because Dylan just found out Jenna's having his baby….

When the petite florist flat-out refuses to marry him, th

My favorite of the series so far. Dylan and Jenna had a short but passionate encounter at his sister's rehearsal dinner, and he hasn't been able to forget about her. When business brings him back to Cheyenne he just has to see her again, and gets the surprise of his life. Jenna is pregnant with his baby and hasn't gotten around to telling him yet.

Dylan immediately wants Jenna to marry him, but she refuses. She is very independent and confident in her ability to raise her child on her own. She ha

This is the third book in the Lassiter continuity and this one features Dylan Lassiter who is the CEO of the restaurant branch of the family's many businesses. After a brief encounter with the florist at his sister's wedding rehearsal, Dylan and Jenna find themselves in a family way. Jenna is ready to go it alone, but Dylan has other plans, and thus sets in motion Dylan's carefully plotted plan to get her to marry him.

I loved these two together! Jenna was determined that she didn't need anyone t

I haven't read the second or third installment and perhaps that's where I lost that fourth star. But I did like the return of a few familiar faces in this installment - along with new ones that I assume appeared in the books I missed.

What I also enjoyed were the two main characters; stubborn and unwilling to give in to the other willingly. I thought both had pretty good points, but I especially enjoyed seeing a female who was more than willing to do what needed to be done for the sake of herself

Yvonne Lindsay is an amazing writer and has another hit with Expecting the CEO’s Child. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. Jenna, who is a florist, met Dylan at his sister’s wedding rehearsal. After a one night stand, she finds herself pregnant. Months later, Dylan seeks her out to coordinate and prepare the flowers for the opening of his newest Lassiter restaurant. She tries to pass him off to her colleagues but he won’t have anything to do with that especially when he rea ...more

Overall, the story fell short for me. The climax, well... it felt like anti-climax for me. The climax was short and the ending felt disturbing. Like it still have few loose ties. That was not a good feeling. I felt frustrated more than anything else though. What are your feelings when it was your wedding day and your brother and sister still tried to change your mind and make your back out of the said wedding??

What's the English for "sakit hati" btw?

That's what I felt.

2 not-great stars.

My 3 stars are basically for the Lassiter series ... yes the books were good, but the continuity was not. In this book when Dylan is getting ready to get married, his brother Sage comes to talk to him and says, "I never expected you'd beat me down the aisle." Wait! What? Sage married Colleen at the end of The Black Sheep's Inheritance, which was published two months before this book. That wasn't the only inconsistency in the books, there were others. In Kristi Gold's book From Single Mom to Secr ...more

I liked it. I'm reading the series and so far so good. Dylan and Jenna are both determined to have things go their way. Not a bad idea for either one of except they are about to have a baby and they need to find middle ground. But middle ground for one is to be in charge with visitation rights. For the other is happily ever after.

I found this story difficult to enjoy in the beginning. Both Dylan and Jenna came across as unwilling to sacrifice any control, although as the story unfolded it became understandable for both of them.
I possibly would have felt differently about the ending of this book had I read the other Dynasties: Lassiters titles before this one, but I found it really awful that even on his wedding day, Dylan's brother and sister were trying to persuade him not to go through with the wedding. That said, alt

Always an avid reader, I was introduced to the joy of reading romance at the age of 13 by an elderly neighbour. Each week I’d visit her and we'd sort through bags and boxes of books - she didn’t know it then but she’d unleashed a monster! A wannabe romance writer monster. At the age of 15 and totally inspired by the books I'd read, I tried my hand at my first romance novel (an abysmal attempt whic ...more
