From reading the reviews I found out this book is part of a series after I read the book. I thought it was a great stand alone.

Brian is set to prove his innocents, and find out who set the fire. In his research, he discovers a serial killer has been killing off Lindsay Cooks family. Lindsay has no family left, so Brian assumes she will be the killers next tar

We met Brian in Navy SEAL Surrender, as the twin brother of the hero. He had taken the blame for a fire that killed a woman so that his brother, who he thought was guilty, could follow his plans to join the navy. Though he was never charged with anything, the people of the town blamed him and treated him badly. Twelve years later he discovers that neither he nor his brother were responsible and wants to find out who is and clear his name. In the process he finds out that the woman killed is part ...more

This book was just okay. I had a hard time getting into it. I found the characters to be uninteresting and the ending seemed to just drag on.

Once again Angi Morgan does and exceptional job of creating a complex but believable plot that had me holding my breath. Her characters are outstanding and relate-able, and their relationship sings.

In the Renegade Rancher, the second in the two book Texas Family Reckonings, Brian has spent months trying to figure out murdered a beloved teacher and framed him 12 years ago. He had spent too much of his life believing that his brother's negligence caused the death so he step up and took the blame a

Brian Sloane that Lindsey Cook I really enjoyed this book. I loved the plotline, though it was really sad. I couldn't wait for Brien to get his happy ever after. He had been through so much. And in this book went through even more. Lindsey was a strong female character, she just didn't sit back and take any crap from anyone, or sit back and be afraid. Even her first meeting with brian she came prepared for a fight, if there was one. When Brian was investigating the fire that changed his whole li ...more

This was my first read by Angi Morgan and I loved it! Fast paced and well developed characters, I quickly lost track of time as I got lost in her book. Very well done!

A bit of a change in genre for me; ok but not fab.

I liked this book. I will look for the previous book in the series.

Loved the suspense in this book! Definitely kept me turning the pages, wondering how they would survive the killers assault.

"Morgan peppers her plot with enough action to keep readers hooked and seasons it with enough possible suspects to keep them guessing (RT Book Reviews)". 4 stars
