Cynthia (aka Artemis)
The author keeps on beating a dead horse. Yes, we get it: The hero is an ex-Marine, the heroine is a survival expert, the hero is to keep his hands off the heroine. That reverse psychology doesn't work very well or for very long. Yuck! This was one I didn't even skim through. Don't bother.

More of an obvious romance than normal. It was a little bit too much for me, but I did enjoy it and read it very quickly. Lots of fantasizing about the other person throughout the book.

I wanted to shoot myself throughout the entire book. It was so repetitive and annoying! The characters never grew, they were boring and idiotic. This book made me feel like my brain cells were melting. I read this book three years ago when I was fifteen and even then I knew, without a doubt, I could have created a more interesting and competent book than this.

I guess somewhere along the way romance/chicklit discovered that sex sells, because there is sex on every page of this cliche-ridden book, set in the jungle. Although I did finish it rather than chuck it across the room.
