I really enjoyed that this book was from the point of view of a teenage guy. The variety of friends he has is great, and I felt like I was really getting to know each of them well by the end of the book. What I didn't like was the lack of any real resolution by the end. And I don't think it got deep enough into the family situation, which had to be impacting him a lot harder than it seemed to. Reading a book from the guy's perspective was a nice change of pace. I wish the book had talked more about his relationship with his dad, as it seems like not enough stories are centered on unhealthy parent/child relationships.
