Lady Talan is chaste and celibate and has never known the touch of a man. After reading the diary of a highborn lady about her one week experience with a Shareem , Talan deceides to experience the pleasure of a Shareem herself.
The Shareem was genetically enhanced male created for the purpose of pleasuring women. There are 3 levels of Shareems. Level one is for sensuality, level two for wicked games and level three is the dominant.
When Talan meets Rees she does not know what lev More...

I've always been curious about these books, as I really like James PNR 'Shifters Unbound' series (written as Jennifer Ashley). The cost of these books kept me from trying them, so when this one went free, I snapped it up.

It was pretty good. It was obviously an early work of the author, and there really wasn't enough storyline to go along with the sex scenes. Still, it was an enjoyable enough for a freebie; and I understand that the other books in the series get somewhat better. These a More...

I decided to give this a try because I really like Allyson James and I was looking for something with a little more "spice" (I was in a mood, ok?). I wasn't really expecting a great stroy or fleshed out characters, I kinda figured it would be more erotica than anything else considering the short story that introduced the series (Eland) wasn't really too deep (that's the thing with short stories, they can make it tough to decide if a series is good when it's the prequel). So color me More...

Tall, 6 foot, slim, chained bicep, naked except for a loin cloth....enhanced

The theme throughout, Allyson James depicts a man who has been built for pleasure, a slave, one of a kind and an experiment gone wrong. They where never able to find his limits & he turned the tables on the scientists to the point where it got leaked to the public & the lab & business went bust.
The Shareem where allowed to live on the premise that they live in the poor quarter & never leave the planet. More...

Well, what can I say about this book.
Not the first erotica on my bookshelves but it is the first one I’ve read, the others still lie there unread...but maybe not for long.

It was easy to read, of course there were quite some erotic scenes but it wasn’t all about the bed scenes. There was also the story between a man created to please women and a woman wanting to discover how it’s like to be pleased by a man. And along the way they discover that there’s more between them than just More...

Living in a world where physical sex has been deemed unnecessary; Lady Talan d’Urvey has decided, after reading a journal she found, that she wants to give sex a try and find out what she might be missing before she commits herself to following “The Way of the Star” and living a life of elevated intellectual celibacy. What harm could it do? She’ll have a little fun learning all she can and after she satisfies her curiosity she’ll be able to commit herself to her religious pursuits with a clean c More...

This book was a short story but I wasn't able to get through it as quickly as I would have thought.

It was erotic, truly enough...there was a lot of coital relations going on. And suprisingly, the book did have a story and just a bunch of gratuitous. The story was deficient in a way that I cannot exactly put my finger on. I guess I would have to say that it seemed forced, very unnatural. Rees was this über sexy Shereem who was a combination of all the individual levels of Shereems. H More...

I enjoyed several aspects of this Shareem tale. I love reading futuristic sci fi with a healthy dose of smut. Rees really delivers on that front. The Shareem were created in a lab to fulfill the sexual fantasies of the sexually deviant on the planet of Bor Narga. The problem on Bor Narga is that fulfilling the carnal needs of the flesh is considered barbaric and taboo.

After growing up in a world where modern philosophy teaches that the mind and body are separate and sex is not physi More...

A Pages of Desire review

I can honestly say that after this book I am a fan of Allyson James, and without any doubt I will be reading more from this series. I downloaded this from Amazon for free but after reading it and being pleasantly surprised I don't think I would mind paying for the others.

I'll start of with what I did like...which was most of the story actually. The world James created was wonderful and thought out, and even had history. The writing was clearly the More...

I picked this up because it was free on Amazon and I did not expect to like it as much as I did. Books being free generally end up in me not liking them, but the story and the world building James had in this book were intriguing.

It was a little [insert Gene Roddenberry show here], which I am perfectly okay with, with less of a William Shatner getting it on with the green alien chick and more or a Chris Pine getting it on with the green alien chick vibe. You know what I mean.

This was my first book, by Allyson James, but it will not be my last. I loved the premise of this book a lady(Talen), is curious about the Shareem after reading another lady's diary. So she follows one(Rees)and the both feel a connection.

This book is highly erotic and it had the perfect measure of eroticism and romance. I don't think I have ever met a hero quite like Rees, but I am looking forward to learning more about Rio(secondary character and Rees friend).

Since I tend More...

I am a fan of Allyson James. Paranormal with an erotic twist.

This book did not dissapoint. Rees is a Shareem. They have been created (in the future) to sexually pleasure women. He is a level unto his own, a hybrid of levels 1, 2 and 3. Lady Talan doesn't know this as she follows him around.

He gives in to her wish for the experience of being with a Shareem. Their feeling for each other quickly develop. He takes her to his world to meet this BFF Rio. One night of pa More...

I downloaded this book free from Amazon, which usually means that the book is unprofessionally edited. Not the case on this one.

This book was obviously written by an experienced and talented writer, well able to increase the tension and show the mounting emotional stakes along with decent plot and world-building.

If not for the BDSM and some other kink I'm not into, I would have loved this book a heck of a lot more.

The writer's voice has whet my appetite for More...

I really enjoyed this quick erotic story, I didn't think I would but I did! A sexy story about Rees the gentically modified Shareem created from multiple DNA for the sole purpose of pleasuring ladies, however he had too much of the 'hotness' DNA and was deemed too dangerous! Now living a quite life, not exactly in hidding but keeping himself off the radar he suddenly finds himself in the hands of the delectable Lady Talan, naive and virtuous she desires to 'know' a man before devoting herself to More...

Quick "review": I liked the story - which wasn't only about sex, although there were many love scenes to please erotica/romantica readers - and I really liked the characters (Rees, Talan & Rio). I didn't like the ménage scenes - not only because I'm not into sharing, but mainly because those scenes didn't fit the story. I mean, Rees was extremely jealous and possessive, to the point of warning Rio to stay away from Talan; so how am I supposed to believe that he was more than OK with sh More...

ok, this book really shocked me. I admitt i got and read it because it was free on kindle and lets face it, if its free you dont really care if it turns about to be crap. However this book was great! It is a weird and wonderful world and i enjoyed learning about it and Rees. I did notice some gaps in the story but overal it was well written and a good story to read. I will continue with the series and i am now a fan of Allyson james.

What a hot read! An industrial freezer can't cool me down, right now. *LOL* A fantastic story with great characters. The Bor Narga world [history] is fascinating, as are the Shareem created by the female scientists. I really need to clone me one of those guys. :)

I won't recap the story as other reviewers have done, but I will say that I very much enjoyed this short book. Ms. James does a good job of building the characters, especially considering that the book is only 144 pages, and the sex scenes are very hot (or verra hawt, as some would say). The underlying ideas of medical ethics, class distinctions, and even basic humanity were used very well, in the right context to fill in the background for the love story, which takes center stage. I look for More...

I'm a big fan of Allyson James but I have to say this was probably my least favorite when it comes to her writing style. It was just a little too choppy for me. But of course the characters were hot and storyline was intriguing. I will definetely follow this series.

Really enjoyed the book. The sex scenes got my attention, since the story plot was short. It was my first time reading a book from this author and I think I will keep her in mind for further reads. Overall I did enjoy this book.

Where can I find my own Shareem? Oh, that's right, this was fantasy. Bummer. Lol! I loved how human Rees was. Yes, he was created, and yes, his creators had no idea how to control him, but he did an impressive job of making a life for himself after he escaped DNAmo. Talan was so sweet, and like Lady Pet, I was glad when she started standing up for herself. Ultimately, she knew what she wanted and she went and grabbed it. Rio sounds like a pretty decent guy himself, though oddly, he seemed less h More...

This was s free book through Amazon. Though not terribly written, the vocabulary was what I found to hurt the book. I think this could have been more erotic, and more acceptable to a wider range of people, with less vulgar wording. If you do not mind, the use of 4 letter wording, and you are looking for a book that holds fantasy sexual situations, then this book just might be what you are looking for.
