While the author certainly speaks from experience, the book is unfortunately what it says it is, just an overview of the gear he likes, why, and some tips on how he does things. The tips are not fleshed out. Terminology is not explained. Specifics are rather scarce. He likes to use deadfall traps, but there isn't so much as an illustration on how to set one up. He never even describes its mechanics. There is a biscuit recipe I intend to try and the advice seemed sound, but really it's more like
