“Emotional Intelligence” has been somewhat discredited as far as being separate from what psychologists call “g” or general intelligence, but it’s still helpful to think about nurturing our kids’ emotional selves. Contains a CD with guided meditations for kids.

I am really interested in child development and how to get kids to behave without stifling their creativity and without allowing them to be wild people. This book is divided into age groups and gives you tips on how to help your child understand how to breathe to calm down and how to manage their emotions in way that gets them (and you) results. I do not have any children yet so I cannot say that I have tried these techniques but I have recommended this to my friends who do have kids and they ar...more
