I don't usually write zealous reviews, and yet I'm confidant that this is one of the most important & underread contemporary books of poetry. I read this twice. Once taking my time with the passages, over the course of months, and a second time in a single sitting. The reader is taken in New York, dropped into the purely visceral, wavered into the cityscape focus yet again, and so on-- much the same as the thoughts one has when looking out a window-- both here and there, yet simultaneously ...more
