I read an article by this author in the ASCD publication, Educational Leadership, and liked it so much I wanted to read the book. I am so impressed with the book. It fits beautifully with Invitational Education and the Glasser Quality School Theory that we are using as a foundation for our charter school, Esperanza.

Some good info/ideas...I was hoping for more to help with some of the really challenging behaviors we are currently experiencing at our school. I heard her speak once and was entertained...great speaker and some excellent stories to demonstrate what she proposes.

I have heard June Bluenstein speak several times and have had a chance to implement some of her ideas and they have been very successful. She is very practical and direct. My goal now is to incorporate the win/win approach to the way I speak to my students consistently.

This book would be great for a green teacher. I had the opportunity to see her speak and she was great; although while reading the book it reminded me when I'm watching a movie for the first time but I already know all of the good parts from the preview.
