I suppose it has more to do with the second hand nature of reading a book about works of art. The words, such as they are, relate to the reader a short bio of the artist and tells a little bit about the work. In this case, the artist, Robert Hromec, who has studied extensively in New York and London, makes his home and does his art in Bratislava. He has produced numerous exhibitions of his work and has won many awards and honors for the same.

I thought this book was very interesting. Each painting is unique but has consist characteristics with how they were drawn. This is a wonderful book for mixed media art and I could see these being hung on someone's wall. You will not be able to experience the full depth and appreciation of the work in book form, as with any piece of art. But it is the next best thing when you cannot physically be there to admire the work. I agree with another commenter that this would be a gre

This is an absolutely gorgeous book. The artist has a warm, earthy palette which contrasts nicely with the cold metal of his base. It's a lovely coffee table book for fans of modern art.
