Free will or fate. Soul mates or happenstance. Humanity or love. Saving the world or saving the ones you love. What choice would you make if no choice is a good one?

Because Kris wasn’t just thrown a bad lot in life. There was nothing accidental about her being thrown on the wrong side of the war. She was literally bred for evil.

Theatrics aside though, this was good. Despite there not being much progress in terms of the Kala-Skotadi war (I looked up after some 6 hours of power-reading to

So instead of getting any work done, I have sat in my room for the last 4 hours determined to finish this book. It was great! It was well-paced and kept me wanting more from chapter one. I'm rooting for Nathan--just saying. I'm glad we've got more answers to what is going on with Kris and the Kala-Skotadi war even though I have so many questions! It was great to see more of Alec and I'm still not sure how I feel about Micah...I'm looking forward to the next book!

A really great sequel to Ignited and a good continuation of this exciting paranormal series. I really liked this book - just as much if not more than the first book. IN this story we get to see Kris learning more about her past, her destiny and her new abilities. There is also all the underlying relationship drama throughout the story if all the action scenes weren't entertaining enough. What was a love triangle threatened to become a love square with the addition of Micah - the mysterious Kala ...more

sucks when an excellent first book to a series gets bombed by a blah follow up.

felt like there was a whole lot of nothing really going on. the new reveals were o.k. micah is creepy and i don't understand the point of having human bestie ... there.

appreciated the change up and drama toward the end and i'm interested in book three, see where that goes, but over all a bit of a disappointment. the first was interesting and worth a read, i can't say this was either of those things. sad.

Between a 4.0-4.5, but I rounded up because I couldn’t put this book down! It was a roller coaster; you came down from one huge moment, and another immediately followed. The only thing I didn’t like was (as someone else mentioned) the love triangle, which was actually more of a love Y.

In hopes of saving themselves, Kris and Alec, along with Nathan and Callie, have been roaming around trying to find out how the Skotadi are converting the Kala. Along the way, they run into Micah (i.e., the b

Kris was raised to believe she is human. This illusion lasts until her 17th birthday, when she comes to the attention of "bad" magic wielders (the Skotadi) who first try to kill then recruit her. Turns out, she is not human...Kris is actually a very powerful magic wielder whose talents have just started to manifest. The Skotadi believe she is destined to turn dark and become their champion.

The concept isn't terrible. My biggest frustration is the amount of time wasted on Kris' unrequited

All I can say about this book is "Wow." Not just any kind of 'wow,' but an awesome, impressive, awe-inspiring kind of 'Wow."

This book was beyond amazing. There are many characters from a numerous amount of series who go through a period of struggle with their 'inner demons,' and have just the darnedest of times trying to overcome them and save everyone else from them. However, I'm not sure that anyone else has experienced quite the level of inner demon control that Kris has. She was literally

A. Pros:Yes! More awesomeness! The world building, fighting, and characters is even better in this book! Finally Nathan and Kris together (for real together)! We find out more about what the enemies are up. Kris is finally growing into her gifts. I'm glad that her character is still her, even though her other side is coming out more and more.

B. Cons: The love triangle ( 4 people!? ). I still hate it ( even though it is not in your face).

C .Overall: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this sequel.

What an awesome series!

What can I say? Ignited was good but Sacrificed was better, as this story continues to evolve it gets even better. I can't wait to see how things evolve in the next book. Which by the way can't be released soon enough. Kris is just now getting a grip on who she is and potentially who she will become and as her heart chooses Nathan will her soul choose Micah? Don't get me wrong I'm all for Nathan getting his girl but I have a feeling it won't be that easy. If you haven't re

Just as bad as the first book in the series just add a few more love interest and hardly any story line there you have it Sacrificed. How in love with herself can Kris get. I can honestly say this was a difficult audio book to listen too it was so boring i kept tuning out. The whole story line was constantly being shoved aside to listen to how much involve with her each of the guys was and how she did not want to kiss them all except Nathan who low and behold at one point was on her taboo list ...more

I'm actually considering leaving it here since its actually got quite a nice ending. however I want to find out what happens. I really enjoyed this book and I would have given it 5 stars if the main action scene had actually shown more action but otherwise it was great

I stopped reading around 35%. I just couldn't take anymore of the sappy love stuff going on with this girl. What in the world makes all these guys fall for her? And seriously don't they have bigger things to worry about other then her fretting if Nathan will kiss her? Ugh... no thank you. Maybe if you're a 12 year old girl this would be exciting but not an adult.

This is the second book in The Ignited series. I really enjoyed it!

I downloaded this book in audiobook format, as I wanted to listen to it after listening to the first book, Ignited, not so long ago.

The audiobook is again narrated by Lisa Larsen. She did another great job in reading this story and she brought the characters to life. Her voice, I felt, suited the character of Kris and her interpretation of the story kept me hooked from beginning to end. Her reading pace was neither too fast, nor

This is the second book in the series and I am still enjoying it. Nathan, Kris, Alec and Callie are our main characters in the story. The adventure continues for these four characters as they go looking for the enemy. While Kris has been keeping a secret from her friends that secret comes to their rescue. Our characters are in for a hell of a ride as the story continues.

Love triangle

I'm not crazy about love triangles, or one person telling another to go "explore" their feelings about someone else, and this book had both. But there was enough going on outside of the romance to keep me reading. I like the addition of Micha, but I never really understood why everyone disked him so much. Guess his character was underdeveloped. And I like they way they found the file on Kris, but I would like to have learned more from it.

This is an exciting book- a few twists and turns- usually the girl is courted by two guys and she can't decide which one, but in this book she is being sought after by 3 guys which makes it kind of an interesting twist. Each one has a reason to love her and want her and in the end, I am not sure who it will be because the author keeps dangling things here and there- you have to wonder who she will eventually be too- since she is fighting what she is and trying to stay on the side of good. It is ...more

Well, that only took me about 7 hours to devour after finishing the first book...

Book 2 may not have quite as much action as the first, but this book is all about the mystery and intrigue. It seems as though with each new guy in her life--Nathan, Alec, Micah--and with each revelation about her past, another question as to her purpose and her future arises. With the paranormal aspects of the story in full swing, not only does Kris need to learn about greek gods and their specialties, but it seems

Just a heads up, this is not extremely spoilery, but still kinda.

This was another fantastic read by Desni Dantone. I definitely got into the plot and it was incredibly hard to put down at times. I absolutely loved the double personality of Kris an her slight schizophrenic tendencies. The classic love triangle was ever present, but with an interesting twist of being a love square. Team Nathan, of course, but Alec is so adorably amazing as well. And even though I expected the angsty relationship d

This book kept up with the first book and was just as good. There was action, drama and humour as Kris, Nathan, Alec and Callie go on a mission to change fate. Along the way they meet 3 kala members who help them in their quest, Micah, Ritchie and Gabby.
In the first book Kris had been having dreams of a mysterious boy in White, who turns out to be Micah. He steps into the picture and brings a lot of revelations with him. As well as helping them he also helps to save their lives, leaving them wo

This book really frustrated me....a lot...I was amped up because the first one was real good. The action was awesome! The car chase in the first book I'm still thinking about! loved it. ugh...but this book took me nowhere. I felt this book answered more of my questions and I got some clarity as to who Kris was although it did get bogged down in some teenage angst in parts. The whole love square thing did not appeal to me yet where Micah was coming from and all the dreams he had of Kris I could understand why he felt so connected to her. Destiny is an interesting thing and yet free will challenges that Fate at every turn and Kris is desperate to change hers no matter what the cost. There was more development with ...more

This second book might give you the creeps of mixed feelings. The whole battle of feelings will get boring pretty quickly, but things might start to become 110000% better when the action comes by. Not a nice intro thou… But it was a great book!
Now you will find out Kris history; where she’s from, parents, powers, transition; and as an added bonus – or not– two guys might not be enough to make things awkward. Yes, Nathan, Alec and the knowi

Gah, I like Micah, I dislike Kris and most of the things she does. Back the frick off of Nathan, focus on not self destructing and ending the world. Stop putting pressure on the poor guy who is in over his head trying to fix this whole mess. And seriously, how many times does Nathan have to get shot before she thinks she might ease up on him a little. Demi god or not.
The dreams with Micah where she's all happy and lovely annoy me as well, I get that she is a demon created to hate him and the dre

Ekkkk I'm biting my nails waiting for the next one!

So unbelievably good! I read this book in less than a day and not because it was short but because I couldn't put it down. It had me the moment I turned on the kindle and read the first page. Alex, Nathan Micah, and Kris are all thrown together. Even though Kris knows who she loves she still has so many feelings for another and then another one she is supposed to love but doesn't like at all. I love Alec's character and I hope they have a happy

Kris continues in this book to deal with her demons and the attentions of Micah, Alec and Nathan. The Skotadi want her and the Kala want her dead and all she wants is to be herself and make her own decision about her life and love. Desni Dantone writes a heartrending story of this girl seeking the truth about who she is and who she will become. It is filled with passion and intrigue and it concludes with a choice no one would have expected her to make. It is a hard book to put down and a read ...more

While this book was well written, it just did not hold my attention. I'm a little let down after my great experience with the first book. I literally slugged through this book. I had to push myself to continue to the end. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible or anything. I think it was the whole love triangle going on that slowed it down for me. This book was definitely missing a lot of the action that the first book hooked me with. Now instead of craving more, I'm feeling detached from the ...more

This series took me by total surprise. I love the god aspect and the fight between good and evil and still having a choice when everything feels lost. Nathan is one of my favorite characters and so glad he finally figured out what he really wanted. I believe Micah is evil deep down and its not gonna be good. Cant wait until fall/winter of this year when the 3rd book Salvaged Soul comes out. Awesome series I recommend to everyone.

I've been writing since I was eleven, after I swiped one of my mom's Dean Koontz books. I still remember the first one I read; it was called Darkfall, and kept me awake most of the night. Anyway, I was totally inspired when I learned that he came from the small rural town I called home (true story, I swear!
