I bought this for granddaughter Lily (age just 3). It is now her favorite book, so 5 stars. Thank you, Cheryl.

My almost-five-year-old son checked this book out from our local library this week.

I really, really, really wanted to like this book, but I just didn't. And my son liked it even less. The idea of the book is great -- taking well-known nursery rhymes and giving them a backstory -- but the execution was flawed and not nearly as entertaining as it could have been.

The cover illustration is great; it soars. It is the best illustration in the book. The rest could have been SO much better if the same

Daddy Goose tells the stories of Mother Goose's Rhymes. This is such a clever idea! 12 favorite rhymes have read aloud stories.

This should have been a great book, the idea is awesome, however the execution was not. The stories behind the stories were flat, and the work as a whole was not a great read-aloud.

I thought the title and the idea was fun, so I borrowed this from the library. I only read the first one - it was a disappointment.
