This was a very nice gift from some of my favorite people. The message is great, I'm just not too keen on stories where the characters are mean and hateful on the pages preceding their big lesson learned and change of heart. Mean words, even with a purpose, are still mean words that I don't think kids should hear from their grown ups.
This could have been a fun read, but the story length is inappropriate for a picture book: it's way too long! I almost lost my voice reading it to my son. The pictures are pretty neat, and the story has a good message (although I found it a bit overly complicated for the audience and very wordy).
