One hot August night...

Miss Abigail Summers watched in shocked fascination from her window as a man leaped stark naked from his bed in the house across the way. He looked to be fighting the worst of nightmares. Embarrassment rapidly overcame female curiosity when they were introduced the following day.

A little different from the genre. The h and H first "see" each other when the H has a nightmare, and wakes up to parade around naked, while the h is sitting in darkness of a hot night, with drapes open to a view of H's room. I absolutely loved the author's treatment of their situation, and the half-black cousin of the H. Though it is part of a series, it's well enough to read alone (and happens to be the best of the series, imho).

This was a surprise read for me. It's one of the rereleases I got with my Harlequin Historicals. I read it, with no expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. I fell in love with this book. I found it pretty unique how the hero and heroine first come in contact. The heroine sees Gif naked. From there things just continued in an excellent manner. I was also pleasantly surprised that the hero's cousin is Half-Black, and I wish he would have a book. Definitely on the keeper shelf.
