Pollyanna like, Rose determined to marry Kent while Kent grieving & hurt wants to pursue his plans.

Kent is appears as the heartless villain in Falling in Love with Her Husband but he's been away, learned respect from his Uncle and on his way to his fresh start is robbed & badly beaten.

Rose is the daydreaming twin, fanciful, impractical, intuitive, has a way with animals & people. Many want to court her but she's waiting for the one and sees it in the face of a battered stranger.

What a total disappointment.

The heroine ruined the whole book. She was arrogant, childish, pushy, obnoxious and acted completely outside of propriety for the time...to the extreme.

I felt no romance between the two MC's The heroine was pushy, annoying and irratating about how she chased after Kent. He wanted nothing to do with her for most of the book , and I can see why. In fact I have no clue why he fell in love with her at all. Not once in the whole story did the hero ini

Catching Kent By Ruth Ann Nordin
Nebraska Series
Kent Ashton has just returned to America after over six years with his uncle in Ireland. His past has never left his mind, his dislike of his parents and his failed venture with love. On his way to California the train stopped in Omaha and Kent's life took another turn. Was it really a turn for the worst or was it fate?

Rose Larson is opposite of her twin sister Harriet. Rose's outgoing personality seems to attract both people and animals. She also g

Finally! But worth the wait.

Finally! But worth the wait.

In Falling in Love with Her Husband, we're introduced to Kent Ashton, who is the villain in the story. However, in Kent Ashton's Back Story we find out that things aren't always the way they appear, and Kent becomes a sympathetic character. Finally, in Catching Kent, he's the hero, and a more deserving man would be hard to find. I loved the book (actually, all 3 of them) and my only disappointment is in how quickly he went from wanting noth

I thought the female lead in this book was unrealistic in her assumption that the two would be together. She was annoyingly, absurdly "romantic" -- so much so, that I can't imagine someone secure in themselves wouldn't question her maturity and ability to make a fully informed decision regarding her life partner. Moreover, after his past, I find it hard to believe that Kent stuck around and put up with her attempts at manipulation. Honestly, I would tell my son to run because she is most ...more

Not sure I like the life he thinks Rose needs but like that Kent finally got happily ever after. Got to see Dave and Mary Larson's brood.

What's to say? I write a lot. I read often. I sleep little. Once in awhile, I've been known to clean the house. A number of kids live in my house and there's this guy they call dad and I call husband. All in all, it's a pretty good life. :-)
