Good book. Gemma has temporarily lost custody of her daughter due to lies told by a former nanny. In order to get her daughter back she needs to show that she has steady employment - a stable relationship wouldn't hurt either. Gabriel needs a fiancee to get control of the family bank so that business can get back to normal. Seeing Gemma again makes him realize how much he still wants her.

I liked both Gemma and Gabriel. Both certainly had issues that made a relationship between them difficult unt

This is actually between bad and very bad. Imagine a far-fetched plot from an Harlequin written in the 80s - the hero is forced to get engaged or married for totally irrealistic 'business' reasons. Multiply it by 2, because now we are in the 20..s equality is finally there and the heroine should also suffer from her own life-wrenching dilemna - her kid being prevented to live with her, because a former nanny had complained that she was an unfit mother, while this same former nanny had been sacke ...more

This novel was actually the most frustrating thus far in this collection. I found it to be full of shit. Since when does welfare just swoop in and take a child out of a home because of one report by a disgruntled nanny. How ridiculous and the whole novel was WAY too calm.

it was ok. nothing like the books i have read before by the same author. i also do not see the scope and need of a sequel. it has only gotten worse since the last book i read in the series.

the male lead is gabriel messena. a banker by profession, he is loaded with family responsibilities after his dad was died in an accident also shaming them when they realized he was fleeing away with his lover. Gabriel being the eldest sibling takes up the responsibility of the family and the bank which was on

Well I liked it. Call me crazy, but I like to read the odd harlequin with outdated plots from the 80's. Maybe because those were the first romances I ever read? I dunno. I just like the odd book where the guy is an asshat for whatever outlandish reason, but eventually finds his way to love and forgiveness after a nice dose of grovelling. It's like a guilty pleasure. This book has all that and more. I liked the heroine too, as she isn't a doormat or an immature whiner (like so many heroines from ...more

This novel was very captivating. The eroticism and passion brought me delicious moments. The millionaire who falls in love with the daughter of humble gardener. In Portuguese, this book is entitled «Conflito de amor».

This was just an ok read. The plot and characters were too formulaic to raise this story above dozens of similar ones. No surprises, no great emotions or revelations, nothing special.
