Italian journalism written for the fascist newspaper Meridiano di Roma. The essays concern Pound's familiar themes from the war years, and much of it is ugly. Essential for those who would understand Pound's activities as an advocate for Mussolini and his views more generally. Unfortunately, the work is untranslated and the Italian edition (edited and introduced by Caterina Ricciardi) went quickly out of print. My five stars reflect scholarly interest, not approval of the writing.
