This book has a brief biography of Charles Schulz's life, but it is mainly in conjunction with comics. That is the focus of the book. The background ideas for Peanuts and the movies, etc., inspired from Peanuts...even down to the bizarre such as Snoopy sightings. If you are interested in the times in which Charles Schulz lived, the way in which he worked, the way others worked for and responded to his comics, then you will be interested in this book! Included are photos related to all this, and ...more

Delightful book because of the illustrations of the most famous of Peanuts' adventures. Also a look at the cartoon strip's staggering success. A brief write-up on Schulz too who comes across as a genial person.

Charles Schultz's humble biography, using Peanuts cartoons to illustrate the evolution of the cartoon and Schultz's life. I loved Schultz's own writing at the end and the dialog between he and Mendelson. Enough family anecdotes to make the book seem personal but not intrusive.
