Note from Author: This 17,000+ word story takes place before the events in The Vampire Shrink (Book #1, Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist series). Although the story is a prequel, I recommend you read The Vampire Shrink first.

Master vampire Devereux has it all: immortality, good looks, intelligence, money, a body to die for, and a constant stream of available women. Soun

A short story about what Dev was doing the night before he met Kismet. The past, present & future theme should have been interesting, but I hated the three dates. And Lawrence and Elliott are awful and got off too easy.

Fave scenes: Maeve’s abrupt discovery, the leap and security level ten.

MY REVIEW
I purchased this one from Amazon.co.uk, as I had read The Vampire Shrink, Blood Therapy and Until Death Do Us Part by Lynda Hilburn already.
I was interested to learn more about Devereux and this novella was ideal as it is set the night before he meets Kismet for the first time.
The book gives you an insight into what type of Vampire "life" Devereux has led. One of womanising at time loving then leaving his women friends. Though all through his vampire life, once his newborn blood lust wo

I received this book as a free copy to write a review.
This is the short story of Devereux the night before he meets Kismet Knight. He is wary of his life and is secretly thinking about ending his existence and entering the final night. His friends are worried about him and set him up with 3 sexy dates that all take place the same night. We meet a woman from Devereux’s past, his present and his future, get some inside into his character, the life he is leading and how he became the way he is.

Well, this is just a short story about Devereux, before he met Kismet. It is a really short and light read. It gets only interesting in the end with the conversation between him and Midnight, when she visited her at first for sessions.

This part and the beginning are actually the only parts that are worth reading, as Devereux Mindset is explained and how he felt before, he met his chosen mate, as he called her so often. But you can also skip this read, if you want.

I finished this book in one sitting... I loved it as it sets the scene for the Kismet Knight book to follow, The Vampire Shrink... Clever well conceived short story that truly makes you want to know more about Devereux...

short story about Dev. 2 friends send him on 3 blind dates, and none of them go well. He returns to the club and talks with Midnight about her psychologist (Kismet) and she describes her and that gets Dev's attention.

I started this and for some reason put it down and it took me a few months to finally get back to it. It was a great addition to the Kismet series. Not sure why it took me so long to go back.

Lynda Hilburn writes paranormal fiction. More specifically, she writes vampire books. After a childhood filled with invisible friends, sightings of dead relatives and a fascination with the occult, turning to the paranormal was a no-brainer. In her other reality, she makes he
