Anxiously waiting for the release of this book

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Not because it was a bad book, it wasn't, in fact it was great, but because we have to say goodbye to Amanda and Alejandro. When I read the title I thought to myself - uh oh, they're going to break up - and they did, but not in the way I was expecting. I was very pleased with the direction this book took. There were a lot of negative forces at work to make sure Amanda and Alejandro never succeeded as a couple and I am very glad the author addressed the ...more

This was my favorite book in the trilogy. This book had a smoother, more fluid writing style than the other two in the trilogy and moved at a pace that was just right for the story. I liked the sense of "realness" to this story. The two characters are from very different lives and in this book those differences really come to light. I felt a connection to the characters in this book that I hadn't in the other two. I found myself hoping they would be able to solve their differences and have their ...more

I had the privilege to read an advanced copy of Plain Again by Sarah Price and I quite possibly have never been more excited to read a book as I was for this one. I have no qualms by picking favorites among all the books that I am blessed to review because when a book is as good as this one, well I think it’s my duty to tell as many readers as I can. The characters seem to have taken on a life of their own among Amish fiction fans. I suspect we all feel a connection with Amanda and Alejandro due ...more

"Plain Again" by Sarah Price is another five star book! No surprise for Sarah's Price fans!

This is a series for lovers of Amish fiction and those who like clean romance and love stories!

"Plain Again" is the third book in the "Plain Fame Trilogy". This book picks up where book 2 ends. Amanda is at her parents Amish farm in Pennsylvania to help her mom and dad after her father's accident.

Alejandro, aka Viper, is still performing and doing guest appearances and interviews.

This book lets the reader

This book crossed over my own comfort line in several areas. First, the relationship is built on very shaky foundations. Neither character shows actual integration of true faith with real life. It is incongruent to pray for God's blessing and then go on stage to promote lust as you sing and dance provocatively. Second, I was disturbed by Alex's adult-rated songs being marketed to teens and his cross-over celebrated with awards. Then there are the "love scenes"...I realize they were married, but ...more

Keeping a reader hooked throughout a series is no easy feat, but author Sarah Price does it and does it well. Plain Again, the final book in her Plain Fame trilogy picks up precisely where Plain Change left off. It doesn't miss a beat. As soon as you read the first words, you get transported right back into the story as if you never put the other book down. Only a great writer can make that happen, and Sarah is definitely a great writer.
Plain Again continues the story of Amanda and Alejandro and

This book did everything it needed to do as the third book in the series!

It continued to draw us in to Alejandro and Amanda's world/s and to hold us there. It dealt out uncertainty, and the suspense that goes with that; it had a few unexpected plot twists; it tied up a number of "loose ends" and situations where I for one wanted to know "what happened with that person?"; and finally, it provided resolutions that could have gone any of a number of ways but were, in the end, both believable and s

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this SERIES "'The Plain Fame Trilogy'".
FYI, Us, reader, fans on facebook with Sarah talked her into writing a FOURTH book to the series.

Series is about Alejandro Diaz, aka "Viper", a famous Cuban singer, crosses paths with Amanda Beiler, an Amish girl, in the middle of NYC, the beauty begins. Alejandro's world becomes Amanda's, and Amanda seeks her own path in the light of Alejandro.

In this book, only a few short weeks after their marriage, Amanda is back in Lancaster County,

The final book in the trilogy of Amanda and Alejandro. I did not like this book as much as the first two. I probably would have rated it a 3.5. I would have liked to have an epilogue 5 years down the road. This book seemed very superficial. Amanda gave up everything for her love of Alejandro. I understood her quote there is cultural part of being Amish and another part spiritual. But she easily gave up both ..which as a young woman in your 20's may be easy especially when you are exposed to an e ...more

This was an amazing series and I hate that its over. True to the first 2 books in the series this is one that you simply can't put down!!! There are so many twists and turns for Amanda and "Viper" that makes this seem like a true story. Everyday life is hard. I would hate to see how hard it must be for famous individuals to have any normalcy and truth in their lives without being exploited by their so called friends. I love this series so much that I really hate to see it end. This would be one ...more

I started and finished this book in one day because I COULD NOT put it down! I usually never finish a book so quickly, but the story of Amanda and Alejandro had me entranced and I wanted to see what happened next. Their story is sweet and I think someone else's comments about the "love" scenes was out of line. In keeping with the book being a Christian book Sarah Price doesn't go beyond the couple kissing. She lets you figure out what happened next. In keeping with an exciting book, we go throug ...more

Sarah you amaze me. .I thought that Viper would get killed in a plane crash. I am so glad that the tabloids were false. The world can be so mean some times. Their love was so strong. I love you books and I can't wait for
more.

Thoroughly enjoyed the final book in this trilogy- well worth the wait for it. Character development and plot were not the usual predictable nature often found in Amish fiction, which made it even more enjoyable.

Oh my, this is one book I just didn't want this to end!! best series I've read in a very long time!! I do hope that maybe one day we see the characters again soon!! Great writing Sarah.
Lisa
I have to say I hated to see this series end. I wanted to hear that they have children and how things go from New Years. Sad to see Amanda and Viper come to an end.
Judy Bullard
Loved it! The only thing I would have liked better is the Epilogue. I would have liked the scene to be further in the future - 4 or 5 years in the future.
Gwen Bumpers
I enjoyed this series but this last book I would have loved to seen Amanda relationship with God explored just a little bit more.
Laura YA indie princess
I loved it but felt that the epilogue should have been set a two years after the end of the book instead of weeks!!!
Cheryal
Not as good as the first 2. I skimmed a lot.
Sarah Peralta
