"Why did the Cabal move from killing the writers they didn't like to co-opting them?"

This is a line from one of many Wilson journal entries. Basically, this whole issue focuses on the Cabal and it's nature and tries to debate it's goals. If you can call them that, Wilson gives great insights, narrating the Cabal's activities dating from as far back as ancient China. Their efforts to control power by controlling fictions seems like their greatest prerogative, having realized they can't kill ever
