I wanted this to be more up-to-date and relevant. Definitely too old for the web references and some of the basic how-to stuff. However, I don't know that (as a librarian), I can over-emphasize the importance of understanding Boolean searching, truncation, and the importance of understanding the scope of the web. If this is a 3rd edition in the works, I would be interested in reading it.
