Gritty and infinitely sad, this story conjures people, voices, laughter, right into your head, like a series of images viewed under stroboscopic light.

This is a short read - perfect for a train journey or a bit of time out.
The subject matter is harsh and real, yet the author has created something so beautiful that it takes a while after reading it to take in the dirty, down to earth and matter of factness of the tale.

A really enjoyable and thought provoking read.
