Six years ago, Dewayne Falco's life changed. He lost someone he never expected to lose. Resigned to punish himself for something he felt he could have prevented, he goes through life without getting too close to anyone.

What he didn't expect was for the girl across the street to move back home and remind him of what they both lost: Dewayne's younger brother Dustin. However,

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite NA authors. Unfortunately, as of late, she has been hit or miss for me. I’ve loved some of her books, and others have been somewhat of a let down. I’m happy to say that this was a winner for me! Dewayne and Sienna’s story was one of the better SeaBreeze books I’ve read. Dewayne Falco has been around a lot in the last few books. Friends with Marcus, Rock, Preston and the rest of the gang, he’s been a regular part of the SeaBreeze group. Finally we

I wanted to protect myself from getting hurt, but I trusted him. I trusted him more than I'd ever trusted anyone. Besides, I wasn't sure he hadn't taken my heart years ago and not given it back. There wasn't much left for me to protect anymore.

So here's the thing. Abbi Glines books are like crack for me. Slightly overpriced but entirely addicting crack. The past few releases of hers have felt somewhat lackluster to me; a little of been there, read that. I really haven't loved a
Warning…Major Fangirling Ahead

So it is no secret that I have read all of Abbi Glines’s books…and I have shamelessly loved most. However, lately I have been disappointed in her last few releases.

Well…not this one. I absolutely loved Hold on Tight. It was perfect to me…it was short, sweet, and hot as fuck…need I say more??

Dewayne and Sienna…

I must say I wasn’t expecting much from this one as the last few have fallen flat, but Abbi pulled it together and I am pleasantly surprised. So before I

The last book in the Sea Breeze series, the last guy being 'tamed', the last time we are reading about Sea Breeze gang - it was supposed to be EPIC! BUT IT WAS NOT! Saying that I am disappointed is understatement - I am devastated!

The book felt very rushed and messy. Also I think the whole book was just one big repeat of itself as in the things characters said in the beginning they kept telling in the middle and in the end, with adding nothing new.

Full review to follow.

It wasn’t in my plan to read Hold on Tight yesterday but (dagnabit) when I saw it staring at me in my reader … I knew that I just have to. In case you didn’t know, Hold on Tight is the eighth and final book of the Sea Breeze series by Abbi Glines. When I learned that the Sea Breeze series is ending already, I immediately felt sad. Abbi Glines was able to create a very interesting set of characters that you’ll end up craving for more and more moments just to be with them. I got really attached to ...more

”Because you’re mine. And I’m so fucking yours.”

I really enjoyed this story. I loved all the characters and the way in which Abbi Glines slowly unraveled past scenes which were both butterfly inducing and so very tragic. P.S. How cool is Sea Breeze High?!!

Sienna’s mother gives her the old family home since she is relocating after her father’s death. So, she’s back in Bama with her gorgeous five year old son, Micha. The only downside is she will have to reside across the street from her decease

I loved Because of Low, and I care about the characters, so I keep reading these. Compelling characters and interesting story lines with a predictable happy ending. My problem is that I don't enjoy the nasty, graphic sex. This one grossed me out more than the others. I hate that Abbie Glines felt compelled to try to sex up her books because the series didn't start out that way, and I liked them a lot better for it. I also am developing a real problem with her slut shaming of promiscuous females ...more

So this was Not my favorite Sea Breeze book to date, but it was ok!
Basically I am a sucker for anything that has bad boy falls for good girl in in. Perhaps Preston and Cage did me in, as those two alone were enough bad drama to last a life time!

For me this was a bit like Krit and Blythe's story, but alot less heat. Dewayne Falco grew up across from Sienna Roy and spend his high school years looking out for her. He was the upperclassman that the girls drooled over. Sienna was a quite beauty who

This was an epic story for some fantastic characters! Sienna and Dewayne really stand out from the rest of the Sea Breeze crew to me and that's probably because their so real. I think the story has an element that everyone can relate to and it's so well written that you feel the characters emotions too - the loss Sienna goes through and the guilt Dewayne feels. Their all so very realistic and moving. Suffice to say Hold On Tight was yet another fabulous read by Abbi Glines. If you're a fan of YA ...more

Just when you think Abbi Glines has lost her magic, she comes up with this book. This book reminded me why I love Abbi Glines. It's simple, to the point, hot and magical. Dewayne is a revelation in this book and I love him! :D

Yeah, I'm sorry, but this is the worst cover in the entire series. I mean, it's just horrendous. Also, did anyone else not realize that Dewayne is white? Because I totally didn't know that.

This book had lots of potential. I love Abbi Glines to the moon and back, but this story is just not her best work.

Let me try to break it down...

Cover - HOT. TRULY HOT. Abbi's covers nowadays are the best.

Characters - Of course I already know Dewayne. He's funny, sarcastic, kinda violent and all macho. I got many glimpses of his life in the past books. His character was explained here, but I think it would have been bette

I’ve said this many times before that Abbi Glines has fast become my go-to author but, lately and I feel like a traitor saying this but, lately I’ve been having some slight issues with some of her stories. Is it me or have they slowly started getting a bit receptive where you feel like your reading the same story over again and that they’ve been slightly rushed? That’s how I felt with the last two books I’ve read – One More Chance and Bad for You – Bad for You being my least favourite of Abbi’s ...more

Ohh wow! This novel was very sweet and romantic, but i kind of missed the final pop so could not give it five stars but rather a four point five. Nonetheless it was a great super duper novel. Abbi Glines is the master of New Adult books. Sienna and Dewayne were just what the series was missing a more grown up couple. I like that she entwined a kid in the story, the way that Dewayne and Micah don`t seem so far. I could picture Dewayne as Micah`s dad. Sienna is a woman of my taste. She is strong a ...more

Abbi Glines continues to be one of the authors that make me feel as though I was tiptoeing all throughout, for I wasn't sure if the next steps would be in my favour or not. I've read some of her books before that just wasn't working for me, and yet there were a few that I loved tremendously. I am in-between when it comes to my feelings for her. You can just imagine how wary I was when I was reading Hold On Tight. Nonetheless, the most recent book that I've read that she wrote was When I'm Gone, ...more

At least his tats are a bit better than Krit's. Just by a little.

Update: June 3, 2014
I loved this book more than the previous one. Both Dewayne and Sienna were great character. Besides this ridiculous cover, I don't think I have much to complain about this book. I liked that there were scenes from when they were in high school. It was really nice.
My first by this author. I'm not a huge fan of the NA genre but I like some of them. This one was okay. It seemed pretty light weight. It went real quick and there didn't seem to be much meat for some reason. Not a lot happened and some that did I had to raise my eyebrows at. (view spoiler) ...more

This book was a great one, Sienna and Dewayne are really hot!! He is definitely sex on a stick! ;) But what really stood out to me was Sienna and Micah's relationship, they are indeed The dynamic duo. Sienna is one of the bravest single mom's out there and not only she fought the world for Micah but she raised him surrounded by love and encouragement. And that is priceless to me! I loved their tiny family :):) Moreover, I am really glad they found someone like Dewayne to join in and be perfect t ...more

Definitely not the best in the series, but it was okay.

Sienna and Dewayne are okay characters. She's painfully naive and at time comes across as stupid. In a sense it make sense, but I had a hard time believing that any of the regular girls wouldn't have talked to her or been friendly. I did like how fiercely protective she was about Micah. Dewayne was like every clichéd bad boy you've ever seen in movies or read about. He is loyal and protective, but it seemed to be added as an after thought.
Okay where do I even start.

I loved this book but honestly what Abbi Glines book don't I dislike. I feel Abbi Glines can do no wrong. She's honestly one of my favorite authors. I don't even need to read the blurb to buy the book, because her books are gold.
I've read this in one sitting and would not move until I was done. I felt so connected to Sienna that I felt like I was in her shoes. I just felt so much heartbreak for her. I hated how Dustin treated her she deserved so much better. And bette

Abbi Glines has mastered the art of crude yet inoffensive dialogue in her stories - where grown men talk about "magic pussies" and "magic tittiess". I can imagine men (young and old alike) think like this in their minds but Abbi Glines' characters actually blurt these out to their women unfiltered as these pass through their minds. For some reason, I don't find it crass. The dialogue actually makes me...giggle? I really think it's funny.

Speaking of magic, Abbi Glines definitely has it. Because

I will make this brief.......Abbi you have the minus touch for authors !! Seriously every damn book you write is frickin gold !!!
I squealch the scream down at how amazing yet another of Abbi's books was.

Dewayne dear god (fan, fan, fan of face) H.O.T and what a guy. I won't spoil the books for you but there is a certain part where he has a sleeping bag, flask and cookies and is outside on Sienna's porch.....his internal dialogue had me smiling !!

Little Mischa awe, considering I felt this book off

"I couldn’t have written a more perfect ending to the story of my life. Because even with all those bad times and moments when I thought things couldn’t get worse, the good times and the moments of joy and the love was all so much more. They made it worth it. The journey may not be easy, but when you find the one to take it with, then you can do anything."

This book was amazing. Definitely a Must Read!!!!!!!
