Great number of historical figures have shown that the people part is the most important aspect of leadership and management. This book tries to find ample generalisations from the qualities they have exhibited. What would have helped a novice people person better are specific situations and statements that address the most common daily use cases in becoming a better peoples guy. Nevertheless, the book has been built on sound principles that get you going in the right direction.

I love the book for its writing style. The stroytelling is top-notch and it supports the argument very well. Personally I think the principles are a little dated. Some of them still hold, though.
