Say You Love Me is my favorite Malory novel so far! I loved Derek and Kelsey and could not put this book down!

Kelsey Langston, a highborn lady, auctions herself off at a brothel in order to save her family from their supposed debt. Derek Malory, unlike his two uncles and younger cousin, has no reason to take a mistress but when he sees his enemy bidding to win Kelsey his first reaction is to out bid him in order to save Kelsey from any harm. Now the most proper of all Malory boys, and heir to th

I just didn't care for this one at all. I thought that Kelsey was a real doormat heroine (and I rarely say that). I don't see why Derek thought the only way he could save her was by making her his mistress. I don't like mistress storylines that much anyway, but I especially hate the "I'll save you by taking you as a mistress" storyline with a fiery, burning passion. It's a cop-out. As many female cousins and aunts as Derek has, he could have asked one of them to take Kelsey in and see her settle ...more
After an amazing journey reading "Once a Princess", I itched for another by Linsey, and looking at the really positive reviews on Goodreads, I tried this book.

I think my concentration levels were pretty low yesterday, but I just couldn't pay attention to the plot, even though I finished the book in a day. I would say the book is rather boring, but maybe I wasn't in the mood for reading and I just happened to start on this one.

The hero is pretty decent here, compared to Stefan in Once a Princes
Allow me to preface this by saying that historical romance is not my normal genre of books. I tend more towards fantasy, urban fantasy, YA, suspense, mystery, and horror than I do historical romance, although I do enjoy a good romance or romantic suspense novel every now and again.

That being said, when I do read historical romance novels, I rarely, if ever, read Johanna Lindsey's work. The reason for this is that I have picked up one or two that read almost like a grade school reading primer and

Okay, I'm cheating here, and I don't like them all equally, but I do love the Mallory's. They're all funny. I especially liked Love Only Once (the first book), Gentle Rogue (my favorite), and The Magic of You (where the heroine chases the hero shamelessly).
Ouch... DEREK MALORY... aha, baca terjemahannya dan ternyata emang Derek itu sweeeeeettt banget, mau dong cow kek gitu hehehe
satu2nya anggota MAlory yg normal menurut gw :D
4.5 Stars
I have been a Johanna Lindsey fan for a long time and occasionally I like to re-read a few of her books. The other day, I selected this one and was immediately swept away into a different time.

1844 London
Kelsey is a wonderful character. She is willing to do absolutely anything to save her family from financial ruin. And I really do mean anything - she agrees to auction herself at "house of ill-repute" to a stranger with the intentions of becoming his mistress.
Derek is the average, good

When reading a series there are some readers who liked to be reminded of past heros and heroines from the previous books, I happen to not be one of those readers. Don't get me wrong I don't mind a small re-cap but to go on pages and pages about how Anthony was a notorious rake and how James was an ex-pirate was too much even for me. I feel all this re-capping took away from the romance Derek Malory and Kelsey were going through. Having read the previous Mallery book over a month ago I was hoping ...more
I really enjoyed Derek Malory's story. I am getting a bit tired of obnoxious James Malory as I read the series in order. His focus on fighting is tiresome and he comes off as an immature low class street brawler.
Sure there are unrealistic aspects of this story--buying a person means they are a Slave--and no one was appalled at that in the Malory family and demanding that Kelsey be released from bondage immediately. But I have now learned to suspend reality and just enjoy the story's which are su
Well this book just disapointed me. I love this series, I love Johanna Lindsey, I just could not love this book. I wanted too though! The plot was great, I was all excited for sparks and romance and all that good stuff. However it let me down, there was hardly any dialogue. This made me sad because the dialogue that was there was great!

Also with no dialogue the story would fly within the space of a paragragh almost giving me whiplash. The ending felt rushed. The last 20 pages have so much going

Seperti kedua paman nya James n Tony..

Kelsey dan rahasia2nya yg misterius -she looked, acted, spoke like a lady- yg membuat Derek gak bisa ngelepasin dia...

Derek trnyata lebi sweet dr yg gw pikir..
Gw kira dia rake s
I know many love the Malory novels, but so far I've been underwhelmed. If I'm going to read a Regency, give me Lisa Kleypas. This one was an enjoyable / stress-free read for a rainy day, but not memorable. In all fairness, I think it was a case of taste. I was expecting/hoping for something a little more edgy and bodice ripper-y. The premise has a lot of potential for it. The virgin heroine is sold to the highest bidder in an auction. However, the relationship between the two is very sweet and l ...more
Overall ceritanya bikin penasaran banget deh ah.

Another Winner in the Malory Series

SAY YOU LOVE ME is the fifth book in the Malory Family Series. It is the story of Derek Malory, the heir of the head of the family. Derek had no intention of marrying soon although as heir, he knows that eventually he will have to make a good marriage with a suitable lady. For now, Derek intends to enjoy his bachelor life. While out one night, Derek ends up at a brothel where a young woman is being auctioned off as a mistress. Kelsey Langton has agreed to be so
A classic example of why a conflict that could be resolved with a conversation won't sustain a full length romance novel. In fact, there are two ways the conflict would have been resolved with a conversation, and it doesn't make a lot of sense that neither takes place. The premise of this novel is that a lady must auction herself as a mistress when her uncle's debts paupers the family. She's bought by the hero, but won't tell him her true circumstances, even when presented with the perfect oppor ...more

Suka karakter Derek & Kelsey, suka ceritanya..
Cerita ini jg agak lain dr HR lainnya krn heroine'nya wanita simpanan *meski aslinya seorang Lady jg*
jadi ga ada cerita PDKT berkepanjangan..
Derek sejauh ini Hero HR ku yg paling lovable & GA nyebelin sama sekaliii :D

Pas Kelsey disekap Lord sakit jiwa itu, gw jg ikut deg2an banget bacanya.. Kelar yang ini langsung lanjut The Present !!
Kisah Malory paling romantis!

I don't understand how this was romantic. I really don't. It's Pretty Woman in a corset.

I didn't find Pretty Woman to be particularly romantic, either.

The virgin auction angle was laughable, the story far too dependent on past Malory shenanigans, and the villain was over the top.
5 Stars!

I kinda skipped over Amy and Warren's book because I really wanted to read Derek and Kelsey's story since it sounded really interesting. From the beginning you know that this book was quite different from Ms. Lindsey's other stories. It was much darker but still really god. I didn't think Johanna Lindsey can and would go dark but she did it well!

Oh man...I loved Derek! He was such a sweet guy who is such a happy-go-lucky sort of man. He saved Kelsey from being bought by a horribly cruel
It's the best Malory book I read so far.. Luv Derek! Usually, I hate mistresses (who doesn't? ^^) but Kelsey is an exception (I hope she's the one and only) LOL
I love the Malory's. After reading them you'll start talking like them...bloody hell! I can never get enough of this series.
I usually really enjoy Johanna's writing. I only gave the book 2 stars because this book took a negative turn in the middle.

When I read a romance book, I prefer to read about the positive things. And while I realize that physical abuse is something that goes on and has for a long time, I did not appreciate the graphic details of what the one character did to women. Johanna went into great detail and this was not something that I was looking for in my reading.

Other than that a good story. The e
I am curious what motivates women to like books like this. The so called hero was a man that uses woman purely for sex. All the men in his family had mistresses. Is that romantic? Is that what you want in real life to find a man that only wants to see a woman in the bedroom? Because that was what Derek Malory did - he never spent any of his time outside of the bedroom with his mistresses. He uses them for sex only and then goes about his day.

"Thank you for gifting me with your virginity"
I couldn't put this book down. I stayed up late last night to finish this book. I knew if I had tried to go to sleep I wouldn't because I wanted to reach the ending of this book. I also realized that this is the first book I had ever read by Johanna Lindsey. It had be about 10 years or more since I read this and I still loved it this time around.

Say You Love Me is the romance of Derek Malory, heir to the Marquis of Haverston and Kelsey Langton. Kelsey is a lady but Derek does not know this when

“I find it intolerable that this lord is out there going about his
depravities unhindered. I was hoping you might know some way to deal with the man."
"Oh, Yes," James said with a dark, ominous smile. "I can think of a few ways."
"Short of killing him, that is," Derek felt it prudent to add.
James said nothing for nearly ten seconds, then, "If you insist.”
“There was a light from within the last time we followed him there. You were sleepin'." "You still bitchin' 'bout me fallin' asleep that one bleedin' time?" Artie complained. "Two times, but who is count-?" Henry paused, frowning as he continued to keep his eyes on Ashford and the woman who had just joined him. "She looks scared." Artie squinted at the couple. "Maybe she knows 'im. If I was a wench and I knew what 'e was like, I'd bleedin' well be scared, too." "Artie, I really do not think she is going along with him willingly." "Wot the 'ell? You mean 'es kidnappin' 'er when we're supposed to be kidnappin' 'im?"
