I really liked this book because of how real the plot was. The characters in the book talked as they would in real life making the whole experience exciting. The storyline was just as great when the mother finally sat down and listened to the music the boy was making and found that it wasn't just ruckus but real music. Plot: Judy loves the sound of her brother's (Willie Jerome) "sizzlin' red hot bebop" sound he plays on the rooftop of his house. I'm a little like the crowd in this book with hearing the noise, but trying to become more like Judy and feeling the music. We could all stand to have a Judy in our lives who can recognize the music in us and cheer us on.
