Very strong language. Basic message was fight cancer with all you've got and don't give in. Could certainly have done this in many fewer pages. I personally don't think it contributes much. Good outlook on reality — while undergoing treatment he had to be dependent; while under treatment he could appreciate the small things of life but once finished, life happens and you have to deal with it; the reality of depression post-treatment and when in remission and the need for help.
