I was really interested in the subject matter of this book. The author clearly did a lot of research and is very passionate about the judicial system. Unfortunately, it didn't translate into a very interesting book.

It seemed like Mr. Mayer spent a great deal of time name-dropping and inserting quotes that had little to do with the topic. In addition, the snide comments about Justice Thomas and the Bush administration distracted from the narrative regarding the state of the judiciary. He makes s
