Wennie Hong's story is universal. From the beginning we are taken on a journey through love and loss, only to pick up the pieces and start again. At times it almost feels wrong reading the short entries, as if the writer herself left her journal open by mistake. You take a quick glance, but are then pulled in by her captivating words. Wennie Hong's words are soothing, real, and raw. This is a good read! Buy it!

I read this book as I was going through the end stages of a divorce, so I didn't expect to find it an enjoyable experience.

I was pleasantly surprised.

The goal of poetry and any kind of wordplay is to make the reader feel and I felt like Wennie did a phenomenal job of it. Hong writes in such a way that you can easily relate to the feelings and dilemmas of the "should I stay or go." While reading I caught myself agreeing and having in a simular sitation. I also enjoyed how quick of a read this was, but also had an understanding of the ending/failing relationship into being on your own, leading into a new life. If looking for a fast read, different tempo, and/or a break the usual novel, this book is it!

In the current landscape of instantaneous entertainment, Wennie Hong is able to deliver gut wrenching emotions and stories using only a handful of sentences.

As I was reading through this book, I found myself checking in with my phone between each entry, I sought refuge in something that I knew wouldn't give way to the emotions that Hong presents. I needed to throw up a wall so I could stop it. So there I was, book in hand, moving numbers on my phone with my thumb, only to realize that I was cryi
