This book offers 1-3 illustrations for time periods and while the older periods are ok, the illustrations from the 1960's through the present are a little funky. This book is helpful if it has exactly what you are looking for but by no means is it comprehensive; to be honest, it barely scratches the surface.
The art isn't that great and the book gives you no historical context. However, it's a nice reference for the evolution of clothing. Pretty cheap to buy used too.
I enjoyed the pictures in this book, they were very vivid.

it was ok!!! I wouldn't say it's an encyclopaedia (A comprehensive reference work containing articles on a wide range of subjects or on numerous aspects of a particular field, usually arranged alphabetically.) It's just a book of illustrations with a description of the picture written underneath! nice pictures but I wouldn't but the book
2 page spread, typically 4 illustrations mostly divided between male and female adults with more female and almost no children, for each time period which varies. European leading to USA American style
