I’ve developed a really bad habit: book cheating.
Until recently, I’ve had impeccable reading etiquette. I never flip to the end of the book. I don’t cheat to see if the lovers reconcile or to discover who the murderer is. Instead, I read from cover to cover. It’s only right.
But lately I’ve found myself cheating. I can’t help it—it’s those pesky young adult serials I’ve been reading. They simply aren’t good enough to justify reading the whole series, but they are interesti More...

Susannah Simon has a unique calling in life. She's a mediator, a person who can see and talk to ghosts and help them leave earth for wherever they're supposed to go. When Suze moves from New York to San Francisco to live with her mom's new husband and her new stepbrothers, she finds a couple of interesting things. First, there's the hottie of a ghost who lives in her bedroom. Secondly, there's Father Dominic, the principal of her new school who also happens to be a mediator. Third, she's somehow

This was a really easy read and I'd have probably enjoyed it more when I was younger but I found it to be quite mediocre now, what with the larger selection of books that are available in the paranormal genre. It was very basic but the plot and characters were decent and I found that the protagonist was a pretty strong, likeable one - I think Susannah's group of friends, especially Cee Cee sounded intriguing too and I'd like to learn more about them. It'll be interesting to see what the next boo

This is a fun YA paranormal book with a peppering of romance. It's like a mix of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, and the Sixth Sense (just the kid who can see dead people, none of the horror).
Yes, it's very girly. But it's also great entertainment for an audience who indulges in girliness every once in a while.

well akhirnya beres juga ^^

This series was recommended by a librarian who knew that I enjoyed the Twilight series. Good series. Fast reading.

Cabot writes frothy YA books that are weirdly good. She has a real skill for writing realistic, fully-realized young female protagonists. They never feel by-the-numbers, despite the cliched positions they find themselves in (this particular narrator can talk to the dead)--they're always very definitely *themselves*. Also, even her most otherworldly of books has an edge of common sense to them, which is a welcome change to the "vampires are just like humans, only sexier" route most "

Suze has an important job. She helps dead people cross over from Earth to their final destination. It sounds creepy at first, but it all comes naturally to Suze. She has always had this special gift and she’s good at it too.
There’s a downside to being a mediator (that’s what people with Suze’s gift are called) though. It can take up a lot of your time and some of these dead people are needy and mean. There’s even one who’s trying to kill Suze. Whoa!

The story is about a girl named Susannah Simon, a.k.a. Suze, who is a mediator, which means she can see and talk to ghosts and when necessary, hurt them. Suze spends a lot of time directing the usually unhappy dead to the afterlife. However, her job is not easy, as not all ghosts want to be guided. Everyday she is haunted by the fact that they will not leave her alone until she helps them resolve their unfinished business with the living.

*Mild Spoilers* To be honest I didn't realize she wrote The Princess Diaries, not that I read them.I never really expected to like ghost books much so I was in for a supprise,I totally enjoyed this one!I've always loved witty and sassy heroines, who don't take nonsense without giving you their special of knuckle sandwich! And Suze fits the bill.

I can now completely understand why so many people love this book and the series The Mediator. Meg Cabot does a great job telling the story with truly compelling characters that I would love to meet. Just take away the whole seeing ghosts thing. I couldn’t put this book down. I read it outside in the sun and didn’t even realize I’d gotten badly sun burnt. Ah well.

Firstly, let me just say, I doubt you’ll ever read a bad review of a Meg Cabot book from me. I love the woman (her blog is hilarious). In fact, I have a whole (rather pink) bookshelf dedicated to all of her books that I own, which, I’ll admit now, is pretty much most of them. If I’m looking for a great, fun, story, likeable heroines (and a tension filled romance with a ridiculously attractive guy), Meg Cabot never lets me down. I’ll buy her newest book as soon as it comes out, without waiting fo

I'm waiting to see where this series goes before I raise my ratings. Basically, I loved the idea. Of course, I loved that movie The Sixth Sense, too, so I guess it's no surprise I'd love this book. I am also a longtime fan of Meg Cabot. Sure, her books aren't for deep thinkers, but if you've got a two year old who wakes up at the crack of dawn and are busy writing a book of your own, Meg Cabot is JUST THE PERSON to read!!
As usual, she didn't disappoint. I loved the main character. One More...

Suze is not exactly an average sixteen year old girl. She’s quite different, she’s a Mediator, a person that have the ability to see ghosts and its duty to help them crossover to their afterlife. Suze’s mother got married and they moved from New York to California, Suze expected that her life wouldn’t change much, she only had one friend and she didn’t seem to fit in with anyone else. As soon as Suze arrived she met her first ghost in California, she didn’t expect to see one so soon, but what re

Shadowland (The Mediator #1)
Meg Cabot
This book is the first book of The Mediator series by Meg Cabot. So far, I personally loved reading it because it’s a different book than I’m used to reading. It’s enchanting, thrilling and unbelievable but it’s different. Probably because books that have ghosts in it are usually scary and horrifying but this one will make you laugh and forget that the ghost in the book is even a ghost.

Here I thought this book is full of scary stuff since it's about a ghost hunter. But I was wrong!
Suze is a sixteen year old, moving to California with her mother, stepfather and stepbrothers. She isn't excited about moving to a new place especially since the new house is nearly hundred years old. Obviously, that will give you a creep, living in a house older than you. It means ghost and scary stories. That is normal for us, but for Suze, seeing ghost is way too normal for her.

I thought this book was different because of the fact that Suze can see ghosts. But other than that it was a pretty good book, she has a lot of issues in her life like her brothers which she doesn't like, and that she has feelings for a ghost named Jesse, and he's a century old. But at the same time she crushes on a boy named Paul, a rich boy thats on vacation, but later on she knows she loves Jesse and not Paul becuase he was stuck up. And Suze babysits Paul's little brother, John. And John is

Suze is just your average sixteen year old girl. Except she has the ability to see and interact with ghosts. When she moves across the country to live with your mother and her new stepfather she thinks it will be the end of her entanglement with the afterlife...but the house turns out to be from the eighteenth century as does the hot guy ghost invading her room...oh and her school is also older than the hills and the only reason there's space for her in school is because some girl offed hersel

I stumbled onto The Mediator series by Meg Cabot on my last visit to Barnes and Noble. It looked kinda cool, so i decided I’d buy it. What the heck, right? I’m really glad I did, because this book kept me reading all night. I literally didn’t put it down until I finished it, and I’m reading the second book now.

Teenlit yang lucuuuu. Jadi inget serial sekolah cewek mata-mata-nya Ally Carter.
Tokohnya, tentunya, gadis remaja, dengan good sense of fashion, smart, dan sarkastis. Oh, dan senang berkelahi, lebih suka menggunakan kekuatan fisiknya untuk mengirim hantu-hantu kemanapun mereka seharusnya pergi. Ever since she saw her first ghost at the age of two, Susannah Simon has been a mediator - in other words, a contact person between the living and the dead. It's her responsibility to help troubled spirits move on to the next world. And it's a responsibility she has always resented. At sixteen, Susannah just wants to be a normal teenage girl, worried about clothes and boys, not dead people. And now that her mom's remarried, she's had to leave New York City, the only home she's ever known, to mov

Meg Cabot does a neat portrayal of teen heroines. They are spunky…have some of the most interesting and weird conversations in their heads and more often than not come up with ear-bending dialogue like: “Lay one hand on my brother and I’ll stuff you right back into that grave from which you crawled out.” Yep, real heart-warming stuff…

I've been considering carefully what I was going to say about this book, and I suppose I felt the need to be completely honest with myself as well as anyone reading this. There are times while reading this that you see specks of brilliance, potential for the story to be great, but this seems overshadowed by the main character. I could not for the life of me see eye to eye with any of her choices or understand her reasoning for anything, she seems shallow at times and is worried about her own hap

This book is very interesting. When i read the title, i never knew a mediator could be a person, who can talk to ghost. Well, this book is about how Suze have to move to California because her mother got remarried. Suze really like the guy her mother remarried, but she loves living in New York City. Her new-stepfather already have 3 sons. Suze is a mediator, in which she has powers to talk to ghosts and help them with their problem. When Suze moves into her new home, she founds out that th

Right off the bat, I'll 'fess up - I've come to the Meg Cabot party a little late. Meg started writing her young adult novels after I had already passed through that stage of my life and in fact after I had written my first young adult novel. After taking a too long break from writing, I am back to it and forging ahead, and along with that, I am reading more than ever. I knew I wanted to read some of Meg Cabot's work, but didn't want to start with the Princess Diaries series as it was ten books

She has nicknamed her three new stepbrothers Doc, Sleepy, and Dopey. She's mesmerized byt the ocean. What really makes her nervous is that she lives in a very old house and goes to school in a Catholic mission, that's three hundred years old.
