This book provides a wealth of Scripture mixed with practical talk regarding how women's views of themselves and God create anxiety and how to use truth to combat the fear that creates that anxiety. Easy to pick up and read off and on, and re-read at any time.

Practical book on overcoming worry and fear. The main thing that I took away from this book is that worry doesn't accomplish anything and is a waste of time. Though I may have already known that, this book drives that point home.
"Worry doesn't have the capacity to change anything."
"Our worry doesn't accomplish anything."
"When we worry we're putting our trust in our thoughts and in our ability to 'work things out' in our mind."

MY REVIEW:
Fear. Worry. Anxiety. These things are very real in many of our lives. For some of us they are greater challenges than for others. But no matter what level you are at in battling this deadly trio in your life this book by Elyse Fitzpatrick will equip you with Scripture that will show you how and enable you to overcome.
I appreciated this book personally because Elyse breaks it into three practical sections - Understanding Your Fears, The Source of Your Fears More...

Overall this was a good, solid book. I didn't much care for the conversational style at times, and that she quoted from The Living Bible far too often, but I think this book would be especially helpful for a newish Christian or one who really struggles with these issues. Fitzpatrick dealt well with the sin issue behind fear, and one of the nuggets I took away was that "worry is a waste of time"--I had never thought of it in those terms before!

Just like idols we run to other things and fear, worry, and become anxious. Fitzpatrick brings us back to the scriptures and reminds us who our Lord is and how we no long needs to fear but to bear His image and give these burdens to Him.

I love pretty much anything Elyse writes. It's all so Biblical and I can readily apply it to what is going on in my own life - and to help others, too!

I think this book can be very applicable and even helpful for some. I felt like she was too broad and repeating. I was sort of disappointed. I think there were a lot of scenarios that I just simply couldn't relate to.

An encouraging book for anyone dealing with fear, worry, or anxiety. This book is also a great tool for counselors helping women with these issues. God is in control.

It was a good book to read to help refocus my thoughts and worries. It was a little long to read. I was unable to completely finish it.
