I was gifted this book as an ARC by the author Candy Ann Little. I've been waiting to add my review.

I loved this book, I love how POWER goes to people's heads and when it come's to family, you get greed, pride and all sorts of emotions coming to the fore.

The beautiful Mallory Dillingham is said to be the one to take over the family business, and boy, does she know it. The trouble is, her Father said, when he retires! she cannot wait for then, she's in a rush to get her beady little hands on he

The title gives one of the plot points away and when she dies the reader is cheering and fist pumping in the air. In a lot of ways “Murder of an Oil Heiress” is a classic mystery. Everyone is a suspect and everyone had good reason to want the heinous Miss. Dillingham dead. “Murder of an Oil Heiress” is like the television show “Dallas” at its most delicious. If nothing else, Mallory leaves destruction, confusion and dysfunction in her wake and in the time we have to get to know the character we ...more

Crossing TV's Dallas with Agatha Christie, Candy Ann Little’s Murder of an Oil Heiress combines the sensual seductions of HBO with the classic twists of Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot. Evil temptress Mallory has her claws in everyone, shares her body with whoever can offer her power, and loves no one but herself. Sensual details and seductively gorgeous people flow through her life to fill the first half of this novel. But a downfall is coming, and by the time it arrives, the reader is probably ...more

From the jump Murder of An Oil Heiress is sexy and intense. From the smoldering good looks of its characters to the Texas sun the heat is driven to blistering levels.

Mallory Dillingham will stop at nothing to get what she wants, be it usurping the family business or bedding her sister's husband. She is ruthless and cunning, with beauty and brains. She seems to be unstoppable.

(Well almost...)
This is called Murder of An Oil Heiress for a reason...

Moving on... So Mallory gets a short taste of succ

Could not happen to a more deserving Heiress

I really liked this book. Mallory is a horrible person, she does not have any redeeming qualities. When she turns up dead I for one was quite happy. Who killed her? Several people claim to be guilty, but everyone who met this woman had reasons to do her in. I recommend you read this book. It is very good
