I love this book. It describes how I have naturally been leaning philosophically. I love the reminder that our "personal" spiritual relationship with our creator is the goal. I love, this book. very refreshing message.

I received this book as a Goodreads First Reads.

This book takes a pretty liberal approach to what the Bible says. There are parts of the book that I could get behind, but there are others where I was shaking my head while reading it. To say that Jesus must have agreed with certain ideals or lifestyles because he didn't make a statement about it is preposterous. Guess what? Jesus didn't say anything about rape or cannibalism, but I'm pretty sure he didn't endorse them either. Anyone can take a sc
