Bulletproof is the first book in Regan Black’s new Unknown Identities Series. A taunt fast-paced thriller, it brings home many of the current issues related to personal privacy and how that information can be used against us. In this case, a corrupt Senator is using personal data for his own gain. The only person able to stop him is reporter Amelia Bennett. The only person able to protect her from the Senator’s wrath is John Noble. One of the many soldiers recruited for the Unknown Identity prog

I just finished reading Regan Black’s BULLETPROOF. It is the first book in her NEW Unknown Identities series. It was fast paced, packed with action and great characters. I enjoyed meeting Amelia and John. Their stories are compelling. Who doesn’t love a reporter who is in the business to present the facts to her readers? Who can resist a tormented alpha hero who has been forced down a path he doesn’t want to walk? Not this girl!!
Amelia is used to taking heat for the stories sh

First I have to say that I enjoy this book. Amelia Bennett is working on a story, which she is doing research on for the newspaper that she is working for. The more that she digs into this story; she is starting to notice that each of the people who she has talked to have turn up dead. Her boss has told her that they have hired a bodyguard for her by the name of John Noble. But John Noble has his own built in problems. If you want to read a book that has a lot of action, and romance, and ...more

Bullet Proof

Regan Black you have out done yourself!!! I have been on automatic pre-order for your stories since early 2010. Your Justice series world is unparalleled. Slick Mickey is still my hero. I found your switch into a little lighter read of the Matchmaker with tons of paranormal fun wonderfully appealing; but this newest has put you into another league of its own. You are truly honing your skills, getting stronger and stronger and I am so glad to have gotten this copy early so

Regan Black is an author of many talents, first she gave us the urban fantasy series Shadows of Justice set in the future, then she gave us contemporary romantic fantasy with the Matchmaker series, now she flexes her muscles and brings us the first book in her romantic suspense series Unknown Identities.

John Noble is a man with no identity who sold his soul to a shadow group doing jobs no one else would touch, for the chance of redemption. Four years after his last job, he thinks he is out of th
New author for me and a new rom-suspense series, edited by rom-suspense author Debra Webb. More suspense/thriller than romance until about the 78% mark when the love interest picks up. A fast paced, intense start to a new series.

John, the Hero, nicknamed Bulletproof, has had his life hijacked by Unknown Identities (UI), a group that experimented on ex-soldiers in exchange for avoiding trumped up legal charges and/or imprisonment. John comes out of the super soldier camp with the natural ability

Bulletproof gives us a new twist on the super soldier suspense tale. John Noble was given a choice, participate in an experimental program or face disgrace. He gives up his identity, is genetically enhanced, and his brutal training earns him the new name Bulletproof because he is just so darn hard to kill. He has come to a time and place in his life where he is done when he is ordered to perform one last job which will earn his ticket out. His mission; keep ambitious reporter Amelia Bennett ...more

A fast-paced thriller with lots of action and romance. When Amelia receives death threats because of a story she is writing for her newspaper her boss forces her to hire a bodyguard. As if someone trying to kill her isn't enough, she now has a super hot and hunky bodyguard she can't keep her eyes off of. I really enjoyed seeing Amelia and John come to terms with their feelings for each other while trying to stay alive. There's nothing like a little life and death situation to get you to realize ...more

John (is that his real name) is hired into Amelia's life, but by whom -- and THEN things get interesting. This quick but intense story draws the reader into the twists and turns of the plot, and rewards with "chemistry" warfare. Regan Black should be commended for painting such detailed images in the reader's mind, and for fully developing the plot of Bulletproof. This reader thoroughly enjoyed it from cover to cover.

What an amazing start to what is sure to be awesome series! This is my first time reading a Regan Black book, and definitely will not be my last. I am very much looking forward to reading book 2. Once the action started going in the book (almost from page 1) it just didn't slow down! (I received an ARC from the author in return for my honest review)

She is unstoppable on her mission to reveal the dirty shenanigans and misdeeds of a powerful group who will go to any lengths to protect themselves from the unwanted scrutiny.

Amelia is doggedly determined to follow her leads, meeting with shady contacts at unsavory locations in pursuit of her scoop. S

There are some authors who have the ability to not only suck you into a story, but put you in the midst of every scene as if you are one of the characters actually experiencing whatever (whether physical or emotional) is happening to the characters. Regan Black is such an author. As I was reading Bulletproof I had trouble putting the book down to accomplish my daily duties as I kept waiting for a “place” to stop so my mind would not continue to rage on about the happenings in the book.

John Noble is a man with a shadowy past involving military service, a wrongful conviction, a choice of volunteer for a secret program or get a court martial, and some other various shady dealings. Amelia is a reporter who is about to break a big story involving a corrupt senator. The book takes place over 2 days as John, hired to be Amelia's body guard, tries to keep Amelia alive long enough for her to finish her story. Sounds great right? I thought so and was excite

This was a quick, fun, weekend read. I really enjoyed Bulletproof and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. My only complaint is that it felt like the story wrapped up too fast after the meeting between Gabriel and John outside the coffee shop. Personally, I would have liked more information about Amelia's escape and the explosion on the bridge. However, it didn't detract from how much I liked John Noble and Amelia Bennett.

I thought that both characters were well written and believ

New author for me. I like series and this one has started out great. A mystery with an open end because there are going to be more. A reporter, a secret government experiment what more could you warn? Oh a little romance you got it. Start with Bulletproof but keep going to the next I am.
