Good friends to lovers story. Bia has had a rough couple months. First she had a brief fling with a movie star, which ended when he went home. Then she discovered she was pregnant. When she's harassed by paparazzi again, her best friend Aiden steps in to help take the heat off her. He offers to play the part of her fiancé and father of the baby. She's not too sure about that as she doesn't want to ruin their friendship, but she's happy for the support.

Celebration's Baby was an overall okay book. I was really excited for it at the beginning, but somewhere around the middle it started getting a little dull for me. I may or may not have skipped a few paragraphs here and there...

I obviously kept reading for the HEA that we all know we are going to get. And while it was as cute as you might expect it felt a little rushed to me. One minute everything was bad (it wasn't suuuch a big crisis to begin with, but still),

Bia Anderson was the kind of girl who didn't have fling but she met Hugh Newman and started a fling with him but she didn't expect to be pregnant with his baby and she told him and he died in a car accident. she met her birth mother while doing an interview for work as a reporter and her birth mother Maya came to town to open a chocolate shop. and she found out that Maya and Charles were her birth parents and she found the guy who she thought was her best friend would turn out to be the man that ...more
This was an entertaining read and I really liked it right up to the end. The black moment was a little odd- it involved a conflict I thought had already been resolved, but okay, I could go with it. But then, at the very end, the happy ending came bopping along without any apparent resolution. No wrestling with the problem, no internal monologue, no discussion of the issue, just "I love you, wanna get married?" "Sure, I guess so." The End. It felt more than a tad abrupt. So... I liked it overall, ...more
I find this Special Edition interesting. I don't often see foreshadowing in SE books, they are usually pretty clear. I enjoyed the hints of what was to come and not having the whole story spelled at for me at the start! But, as always, I loved the happily ever after I have come to expect of SE books!
Harlequin Books
"Thompson unveils not one but two romances in this latest Celebration, Texas, story, showcasing a vivid storyline and rich, flowing narrative. Bia and Aiden are so right for each other; it's fun to watch them get bull's-eyed by Cupid's arrow despite the prying eyes of their small-town neighbors and pesky paparazzi (RT Book Reviews)". 4 stars
