Helena's Christmas Beau was an average bit of holiday fluff and I am disappointed I spent $1.99. A Bride for Christmas was better in my opinion and it was free! This short story centers around Helena, a woman just out of mourning for her fiancé, and a man who is coming to realize that he loves Helena and wants her for himself.

Helena is just exiting her mourning, having lost the love of her life. Invited by her cousin to spend the holiday and help organize the decorations, Helena is re-introduced to Duncan, her cousin’s brother in law. Helena is a likable character. Despite the loss of her fiancé, Helena has come to terms with his death (tho

Charged with putting on a traditional Christmas for her cousin's growing family, Helena finds she is more than ready to put off her blacks after her fiancé's death and rejoin the rest of the world.

At first, Duncan isn't sure he wants to be part of traditions he's always thought to be childish. But he does want to see Helena smile again. He liked her a lot during her Season in London, but figured she was lost to him after she became engaged.

Helena thought Duncan was joking when he suggested tha
